Hunter would be interesting for the 50's and 60's.

New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1)

Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

Yup. an hour to start her up followed by cruising around the ocean for 8 hours, hoping to spot a ship or a sub would be a blast! Do we have an ocean big enough?

Perhaps the Bucc might be a bit easier on the sim/life balance ;)

It seems that there is a Hunter in development ... but I wont purchase until I see it on ED's Store and have read a good review of it ... VEAO teached me to have a bit of distrust:

Wholeheartedly agree! Don't get me wrong. I love US aircraft (ex USN 18 mech), but we have enough US AC out or coming out. We really need more High Fidelity UK/FRench/ Joint European/Russian AC. etc!

My number one choice would be the Jaguar too! Love that aircraft! (But really I will take anything!):D

High intakes, Navy grade undercarriage. That thing is made for serious off-roading..haha.

What a beautiful brute!

Agreed. JAG for some tree top level deep penetration strikes... now that we've gorgeous looking trees in DCS

Sent from my HTC U11 using Tapatalk

true dat!......Jag/harrier/tornado would sort the men from the boys since the cold war role assumed you didn't have total air superiority and the soviets had their "defence in depth" doctrine nailed.

hard work to control a ground attack 4 ship at OLF heights .......but lots of fun and a real challenge :)

Since the Jag had no auto pilot.. as in none at all. it'll be a all hands on flying.

TBH Joey, we rarely used autopilot on the fin...only when we had to for Auto terrain following. However, It was a personal preference so I can’t speak for the harrier boys with their basic autopilot or for other tornado pilots. Even in high level transit, I mostly flew the jet.

Jag would be great to have in DCS.....I’ve always loved the jag and never got the chance to fly it except a few back seat rides in the T-bird.... I think I would prefer it in DCS to tornado to try something new... that’s what I like about DCS, I get to fly a close approximation of loads of jets that I never got to fly in my mil career.

I like the twin boom-tailed planes. Weird taste I guess. I would recommend the following:

1. De Havilland Vampire

2. De Havilland Sea Vixen

I really hope they make the Vampire, the Goblin engine was well renowned for it's ease of use and simplicity.

BAC strikemaster/Jet Provost twin seats side by side killing two birds with one stone trainer/ground attack airframe.......just a thought :pilotfly:

Then you are obviously after a Lightning T.5 or T.55 ;) :D

My list, a short one, in order of preference:

Buccaneer S.Mk.2C - If the Navy version is brought along to us then we need at the very least the "Ark" to go with it.

Jaguar GR1 /3 - Who doesn't like a puss cat?

Lightning F6 or T5 - The T5 great for nudging your multiplayer mate and saying "we are out of gas!"

Torndao Gr1/1a - Forget the GR4 guys, its way too recent for DCS - If it don't swing then it ain't worth a thing.

Just my two penneth.
