I know where the Misc tab is! I'm asking where in the Misc settings can you turn this off?

Literally three posts above your initial post.

Heh, I like the font and the color of that text, but in the end I turned it off in options => Misc. => unticking the box "Realtime Bomb Damage Assistance". Apparently this option is not only for ground targets but also for air targets, so it is kind of a cheat when you get kill confirmations without having to check it yourself.

- Jack of many DCS modules, master of none.

- Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS.

'Real Time Bomb Damage Assistance' to tell you about your hits on planes? Wow, who'd have guessed?

Open beta and stable updates same day or its going to be stable only in 16 Jan?

I'm guessing, but I would imagine another OB update as there have been important issues with the latest one that I would think would stop it going to stable release.

We will have more info as we get closer. There has been some stability issues so they may opt for OB again, but I am unsure right now.

SOME stability issues? I would say lots of stability issues. I may have to opt out of the beta build unless a fix comes soon.

Need your best advice, for installing the Beta, what do I do for the following:

1. Deactivate my modules?

2. Uninstall the current stable version? then install the beta?

3. Will i loose my current activation of the modules?

Unless you want to have both running you just update the current stable to the openbeta:

It has not yet noticed ED has rewritten all textures ending in .bmp.dds and .tga.dds. There are now only dds files.

Noticed a bunch of things related to this. How can it be fixed?

For Rift users don't be in a hurry it looks rubbish in VR poor fuzzy image quality and a 12GB download to boot it seems you can't revert back to the previous version.

The Rift image is only kinda clear right in the center and fuzzy all around the rest of the image.

Have you been able to find any settings that improve the VR image? Do you still recommend that Rift users hold off on the update?

Thanks

Update sizes-Persian Gulf update?

I only have the FA18 installed and I paid just over 10 bucks for the SU33 and Mig 29 by themselves cause I didn't want to load all of FC3. My updates are not that large really, and I notice how when it loads the new files it gets rid of the old ones. I was wondering about the Persian Gulf update, I already have the Persian Gulf theater installed. Is this new update they came out with 04-12-19 automatic. I clicked on it and it appeared we needed to buy it, but when I tried to purchase it ,it flashed that warning that I already have a license for it. So I'm looking at it closer... I already have the new update? Sorry for such a ignorant question. I really cannot tell, but maybe cause I haven't been playing it for a while. "?"

I own lots of the modules, but I only have the Hornet and the Flanker and Mig activated. I do hope ED comes out with that F16 they described. That I want. There's also been talk of an F15 E, but I would rather have that F16. I also would like those carrier modules their supposed to create one of these days.:music_whistling:

Read what they added in the final version. If you find the new airfields on your map, you have the latest version of the PG map.

It's very easy to forget about one simple fact, the updates more than half the time don't stack, they replace older assets which get overwritten/deleted.

Modules: A-10C I/II, F/A-18C, Mig-21Bis, M-2000C, AJS-37, Spitfire LF Mk. IX, P-47, FC3, SC, CA, WW2AP, CE2. Terrains: NTTR, Normandy, Persian Gulf, Syria
