VC Posted August 27, 2020 Share Posted August 27, 2020 The Su-27 has FBW since the beginning, but it is FBW specifically designed to create the need to trim. This was for perceived safety reasons and because it was a habit of all pilots, they didn't really see it as workload and thought it would be weird if they didn't have to do it.
