ok i read it. the thing is I didn't realise it was the readme for your mod, i thought it was a jsgme readme, and who needs to read that right :smilewink:

Edit 1: Sooo how can I point jsgme to a different folder? Say I pointed it to the original Mods folder instead of eg: _Mods

The answers about JSGME should be here.

But, you could install the mod manually.

I have a question. I have the path correct, I can even see the choice "English Blue" in the special section. When I go into a mission, the HUD is english and the cockpit is Russian. THoughts?

Funny, now I got the cockpit in English, and the HUD is Russian.... Strange.

Some of the lights on the lower front right are not translated.

Those are normally on with radar on and when I am on the ground with the radar on (could be after a landing, warning me of something, i cant read it :/)

Thanks for updating the Mod ... does this means that your other english cockpits will not work on 2.1?

Actually I'm not quite sure. I hope they will work except Su-33 cockpit.

Probably, all mods could work with v2.1, but you may have some troubles that could be solved very soon.

Thanks for the answer .. I'm still halfway on the update ... after I get it running, will check the cockpits and report back here if I find anything of note.

Is there any reason to get this if I'm now using your previous v1.2a and I use it in the release version 1.5.6 only?

I didn't remarkable problem with v1.2a in v1.5.6. I assume you can use this mod (v1.2a) with DCS v1.5.6, but when DCS v1.5.x will have deferred shading and PBR features as DCS v2.1, you could experience some specular problems.

...will check the cockpits and report back here if I find anything of note.
Oh, yea, I need that. Thanks a lot! :)

In case any mistake made by me, I downloaded the mod from the address again, and tested it.

No problem on my side.

The addresses you gave don't seem wrong to me. I couldn't determine what the problem is.

Still thinking...

Could you please also install Su-25A Eng mod?

Let's see if you'll encounter same problem.

+------------------------------+

| 1) INTO "SAVED GAMES" FOLDER | (RECOMMENDED)

+------------------------------+

This method may cover all players (DCS Su-27 and Flaming Cliffs players).

1) Open zip (my mod) file.

2) Enter in the folder "Flaming Cliffs"

3) Copy (or hold & drag) "Liveries" folder (from my mod) into "C:\Users\{Username}\Saved Games\DCS" folder and overwrite.

I'd like to help you, if you please show me where the line you have problem.

See you.

Thanks for your offer of help. I think the main problem may be my thick skull. I have used your cockpits before without a problem, but this one stumps me. I am using the standalone Su-27 module.

1) Open zip (my mod) file. I have unzipped your download.

2) Enter in the folder "Flaming Cliffs" This is confusing to me. Do I create my own Flaming cliffs folder and if so where as my Saved Games/DCS folder has no such file? Or do you mean to go into your mod and do something???

3) Copy (or hold & drag) "Liveries" folder (from my mod) into "C:\Users\{Username}\Saved Games\DCS" folder and overwrite. I have placed your folder "Liveries in Saved Games\DCS, but that did not work.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi. Thanks for reply.

You don't have to unzip my mod file.

Step #1

Open the DEVRiM_SU-27_EnglishCockpitMod_v1.3.1.zip file.

When Winzip (or Winrar) window comes, you'll see DEVRiM SU-27 English Cockpit Mod v1.3.1 folder.

Keep clicking on it. You'll see Mods, then aircrafts, and then Flaming Cliffs folders. Click on Flaming Cliffs folder again. Finally you'll see the Liveries folder. Keep it there for now.

Step #2

Now; Open Windows Explorer and go to C: partition. Click on Users folder, then click on the username, and then Saved Games folder and enter the DCS folder. (You should see some folders such as Config, Data, ImagesShop etc...)

Now; we have two windows opened on the screen. Please go to Zip window, click and hold on Liveries folder, and drag in to DCS folder.

If there's already a Liveries folder in DCS folder, you will get a overwrite confirm window. Click yes and let the computer finish it.

Step #3

To enable it, you can do what ReadMe file says:

+--------+

| ENABLE |

+--------+

1) Run DCS World.

2) Go to OPTIONS > SPECIAL Tab > FC3 or SU-27 row.

3) Select "English Blue" from SU-27's Customized Cockpit pull-down menu.

4) Click "OK".

Please write me again, if problem persists. See you.

User error. It now works. I didn't understand that step 3 applied to the Saved Games method also.

I tried your Su-33 cockpit mod in the DCS/mods folder and according to the readme, you can only install this mod in DCS World and not in Saved Games. Correct? BTW, as I had installed the Su-27 mod in Saved Games and when I installed the Su-33 mod in the game, I didn't receive a request to overwrite. Is this because I had installed the mods two separate ways? Also, I used the default cockpit in the game and it seemed to work as there was no custom cockpit for the Su-33. Correct?
