KC-130 Skins

You can change the default skin simply by adding any of the add on skins with a slight change to the description

The texture folder is in the same folder as the AV8

Example

The change is just the KC at the start of each line above - you dont need to change anything else.

xxx - add the file name you give your skin

KC130 should also have textures for the PODS

The extra line for the fuel pods has been added to the 1st post.

"true" means you have to put those textures into your temp textures folder otherwise they wont work

USN done, uploaded tonight. USMC will take a lot longer, its a much more complicated 3 tone skin.

There is a small problem with the DCS Upload site at the moment so it might not be available until next week.

They are aware there is a problem.

I use Google Photo's to post images, I believe some can't see those but I don't know why, sorry.

I have been trying to upload these images using the ED Forum facility but it keeps telling me the page is down, and the Google Photos Sharing link clearly does not work on line here either. (I thought it might work, it does on another Forum I use).

AND, the Download site is having problems as well and I cant upload the skins either.

Nothing more I can do for now.

we are (and plenty of skinmakers as well) still waiting for ED to fix the site and the "user file" section (uploading) problem...new harrier, mig-29 and mi-24 liveries coming up too, afaik :bounce:

As a matter of interest what software do you guys use for posting images, I need to find something that works (and is free !!).

i recommend postimages.org

not pic limit like on imgur but has one negative: default posted image size is lower than original size at postimages.org...but there are some tricks to send original size (if you check the original links of the re-opened/larger sized pic)

French KC-130

thanks to your template and help, I made a skin for the french KC-130J , being built for french special forces.

Tried to upload them again today, still not working, but at least they have fixed the image thingie.

Finally managed to upload on the DCS user file site (to be added , with pictures:

Just tried again, it still wont accept the upload.

I have done this hundreds of times in the past over several years without any problems, and I have not done anything different with this upload, simple zip file, jpg images, so I have no idea what more I can do.

Has something changed that I am not aware of ?

Fir info only, the upload site does not appear to accept png files, even screenshots taken from the actual game.

Changed them to bmp and that appears to have worked ... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
