DDSSTT
I cant use the HMD in VR as it is too far to the left of center and when I look straight into the HUD the HMD is about 45° to the left and the right side of the Circle goes straight through the center of the HUD. I have to look so far to the left with my right eye, I cant see whats in front of me and I am cross-eyed. I've inquired a few times on if this is a bug or is there a way to align the HMD but it just keeps getting moved to "HMD wanted for both eyes..." which is has nothing to do with what I am experiencing nor do I want it for both eyes. change IPD does not help. There is an Align button in the HMD DDi page but I guess its not functional yet. Does anyone know where or which lua in DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Scripts\HMD controls its visual display location in game? ED Team cofcorpse Posted November 9, 2018 ED Team Share Posted November 9, 2018 Could it be that your view is not centered? HMD is drawn in the center of the view, so there is high possibility that something wrong with your view.

I thought that but, everything else is centered like pressing escape and the menu shows up centered to where I am looking. Other games when I aim or look at things in front they too are centered. Its just the HMD reticle that appears to far to the left. Its almost like its drawing in front of my nose and not in front of my right eye. ED Team cofcorpse Posted November 9, 2018 ED Team Share Posted November 9, 2018 A short track with turning on HMD would be appreciated.
DDSSTT
Here is the track. I center my view on the centering iron sight reticle on the HUD and the HMD is off high left. I look around recenter and try to force the HMD it center on the iron sights, needless to say its hard and uncomfortable. Thank you for assisting!HMD_Test.trk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://www.csg-2.net/
ED Team cofcorpse Posted November 9, 2018 ED Team Share Posted November 9, 2018 In your track I see that your view is not centered. It is turned nearly 3 degrees left, 5 degrees up and is moved to the left a bit. I attached sccreenshot from the beginning of the track (9th second) and my screenshot with completely centered view. Los
Map a key to recenter vr view in the Gui, that might help align things

I dont know a way to fix it other than physically hold the headset to my face at an angle to make it visually centered... cant fly with it like that... DDSSTT
Guys, I have the recenter key bound and it doesn't recenter the HMD. Remember I am in VR. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://www.csg-2.net/
20thBG_Blackwolf
In VR do you have the key bound in the UI layer to recenter the headset? BSD Discord , BSD Website If it doesn't hover, it just sucks and blows
DDSSTT
When I turn my head 90° to the right and recenter, it lines up. when I look to the front and recenter it goes up to the left. Its almost like the "Center" of my pilot's view does not align with where I am sitting even when I am looking straight and level in the cockpit. DDSSTT
In VR do you have the key bound in the UI layer to recenter the headset? Yes. I've been flying VR for 2 years now. Its bound and I use the heck out of it especially when the view point in the F-15 was borked. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://www.csg-2.net/
DDSSTT
HMD display only appears on the right side screen. This is by design and accurate to the real thing. Yes, I know. It appears in up and to the left of center in the right eye. Even after centering. The issue is not it only appearing in one eye but there is no way to realgign the HMD if it is not centered. 20thBG_Blackwolf
Sounds like a lua file is messed up somewhere with the views, I'm sure you did a repair and all, sorry I can't be more help. Is your tracking ok other than the messed up center? BSD Discord , BSD Website If it doesn't hover, it just sucks and blows

Is your tracking ok other than the messed up center? Yes, repaired. Still present. The only thing I can think of thats causing this is the VR Headset doesnt sit perfectly centered on my face. even though I visually see it as centered. Revelation
Did you by chance move your cameras recently? Is the view only messed up in DCS or all VR games? 20thBG_Blackwolf
The only other thought I have is it only on the hornet that its off or you noticed it because of the HMD? Might want to look into the view lua files. You could have the VR sitting on the desk and hit recenter and it should. Somethings up with that. DDSSTT
I have no other noticeable issues with any other VR Games or any modules i own. It is just the HMD reticle that is not centered. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://www.csg-2.net/
Revelation
I have no other noticeable issues with any other VR Games or any modules i own. It is just the HMD reticle that is not centered. Well it's not supposed to be centered. In real life it is only a right-eye monocular. Wags has stated that they are looking into making an option to change the default behavior; you'll have to wait and see what they come up with. DDSSTT
I am almost 100% positive the issue is how its defined and recentering doesnt change that. It seems set to the dead center of the VR's panel and not the visible "sweet spot" where the lens are best viewed while on my head. When I un-check the "Use Mouse" in the VR Settings, that too is slightly up and to the left of my visual center. Well I never read where you said it was off-center for the right eye, just that it wasn't centered. If I missed it, so be it. backspace340
Which headset do you use? I think I've seen other people using the Vive report this same issue elsewhere on the forums (but it seems to be fine in all other headsets). If you're using a Vive that might be the key bit of info the devs are missing.
20thBG_Blackwolf
I use a Vive and don't have that issue. Not a Vive pro though. BSD Discord , BSD Website If it doesn't hover, it just sucks and blows
