stefaanadriansens
is it correct that brightness and contrast is not working yet on the left and right mfcd? i have a hard time seeing the green text and info over the map, like the map is too bright and the green text and symbols are light green and thin. i would like the map less bright and the text and symbols dark green and fatter font and bright so there is more contrast. is there a way in the cockpit to have this set the way i want? ps, ah the brightness is working.. on the text and font , oops Edited April 19, 2020 by stefaanadriansens :pilotfly: i7-920, 12 GB DDR3 1600, Gigabyte x58 ud3r, Gigabyte GTX 970 OC, 2x500GB SSD+1x250ssd, TrackIR 5 clip, screen 42 inches, and 21 inches, Thrustmaster Warthog throttle and stick,t500rs,th8 shifter, Saitek Pro throttle, x controller, G11 keys
Nekhebu
Don't work for me either. Probably lost in the sea of bugs and missing features.
Bender_39
I observed that you can actually change the brightness in the mfcds, but it will only tune the green text displayed. The map brightness doesn't change, at least for me... Also the mfcds reflects on the canopy too bright during night time. Maybe its just me kind regards Bender_39
Fri13
IMHO there is something wrong in the ways how the green text is presented on the maps etc. As even on the real aircraft videos you can easily see the text over the maps (we can't know the adjustments pilot has made for the displays) but it can't be such that pilot readability suffers a lot without black background boxes like in A-10C, otherwise all would have those black backgrounds for safety and usability reasons. You can see in few seconds time the left MFCD having good contrast between map and the OBS labels. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K. MeerCaT
(On a very quick, completely separate note: look how much the pilot adjusts trim during landing. Same is true of many/most/all real world aircraft I think but I'm often guilty of not doing it myself in DCS)
stefaanadriansens
less bright helps, but I just turn the map background of when it bugs me, so np. it's the awls that bug me now, haven't done one ils landing yet because it's not working yet. :pilotfly: i7-920, 12 GB DDR3 1600, Gigabyte x58 ud3r, Gigabyte GTX 970 OC, 2x500GB SSD+1x250ssd, TrackIR 5 clip, screen 42 inches, and 21 inches, Thrustmaster Warthog throttle and stick,t500rs,th8 shifter, Saitek Pro throttle, x controller, G11 keys
Shrike88
It has been like this for over 2 years now. Not a priority apparently.
lefuneste01
Hello, the last version of my mod will allow you to reduce brightness of MFD (including map) and HUD by pressing a key. The amount of brightness can be setup interactively in game, using a dedicated menu and keypress. By default only kneepad and cursor have their brightness reduced, but there is an option to turn on to extend the option to AV8B MFD and HUD. Victor3
Any updates on the MFD brightness thing...mine is al washed out. Very little adjustment if any available. Have you tried the day/night switch? It works if you right click it for night and left click for day. Hawkeye_UK
Maybe spend one minute looking at the harrier posts - there any many about this issue - However still nothing from Razbam, 3 months later for 2.5.6 lighting issues in cockpit and 2 years later regarding MFD brightness and contrast buttons on MFD. As your new always worth checking whats gone on in recent post - this has been reported so many times now. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=270133 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=274223 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=274185 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=265670 To highlight just a few - good luck with getting any information from Razbam. Not buying any more modules from this developer as they have become very poor at communicating. If you want a good developer that communicates and is super fast on bug fixes look at Deka and the JF17.
