….So where are the promised VR betterments recently mentioned?

"Virtual Reality Update

We see VR as an amazing tool to enjoy DCS World and the future of PC gaming for many. To make DCS World even better, we’ve been working on some great VR improvements that include:

  • Optimized VR performance.
  • Touch control that allows direct finger interaction with cockpit controls.
  • Touch control to allow the right and left Touch controllers to act as stick and throttle when positioned correctly in the virtual cockpit and holding down the middle-finger button."

Deadlines and statements of implementation of kinda like soggy cereal in the flight sim world. You want it, it could still be good, but its never what you thought it could be.

I hope they put some focus on VR. I'm curious what the percentage of user is who are using VR. It has grown I'm sure. I think our wing its around 92%.

Would be nice for them to offer some form of time frame, because mentioning a new feature(s) then having subsequent patches without this feature or mention of it in later development updates, just leads to...well, threads like this one.

...and if an issue arises that delays the launch, they get crucified in these forums.

No, I agree with EDs decision to be more cautious with their online comments on planned releases, saves a LOT of noise.

An easy way to solve these issues is to generally ask your self if they have been released yet if the answer is no, then they probably are not ready yet. As soon as they are ready, they generally get released to Open Beta.

Timelines are tough, but it is in work, so it shouldn't be too long. You won't get anything for sure as nothing in life is 100% for sure.
