july865
Last night i got a BSOD while flying the nav tutorial. Ill post those numbers if interested. But what i got after reboot was a windows black screen. Telling me a system software file was corrupt. Install system disk and re-install W7.... tried restarting but no luck. Same message. As soon as i restore from my backup and reinstall windows ill post result. My question is, what file/s would you guys like to see from windows and or dcs after my re-install? . . Cedaway
Is it due to it being a beta that parts of the cockpit are very low textured ? I have a good vid card (HD5830) and all the settings are at high. Parts of the cockpit (front dash and control display unit amongst others) are very detailed. The radio's on the left console however are very badly textured no matter my display settings. The caution lights on the right panel are so bad i can't even read the cautions they display. Same here, the front panel is highly textured and fonts are well readable but left and right consoles are barely/not readable, even with zoom at max. I tried with cockpit at 1024 and 1024 every frame and it's the same result. I've put texture at high setting. (However, the caution panel is well readable for me). oh, and it was with the x86 .exe (for TIR) P5N32eSLI-plus - C2D e6600 - 4Gb RAM - HD5870 w/Catalyst10.9 - Win Vista 64bit - TIR4. alexiao73
hello:), I'm getting exactly the same problem of Tulkas: if Texture is set to High (and other setting to mid-low) or even to Mid and other settings to mid-high I then got freezing and corrupted textures after the loading screen, exactly like in those screenshots. I have about the same rig also: E8500+4850-512mb+4GbRam+WinXP Sp3 32bit. Don't know if a memory size issue, as other users seem to not have similar problem with other 512mb vid card. At 1900*1200 I get 15-20 fps at ground and 30-40 in the air. Another issue is that AA filter seem to be not applied no matter which value is set in the option menu. Driver is 9.8, with "application" on AA setting. cheers System: i5 10600k @4.80Ghz - MSI Z490 Tomahawk- MSI GTX 1080ti 11Gb, 32 Gb Ram Corsair Vengaence PC-ddr4 3200 MHz - LG 32” 1440p - Saitek X52 + CH Pro Pedals - TrackIR 5 - Win10 Pro-64bit :smilewink: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Druid_
ATI catalyst problem Maybe I have missed something but looking through the posts it appears that there is a Catalyst/a10c compatibility issue. High spec Nvidia cards appear to be OK. BETA game performance thread : a simple test I carried out. A mate with a GTX285 was getting twice the FPS that I had. No nvidia vs ATI posts please. Seen em all before. I know its a beta and is still in optimisation but thought I'd bring it up in case it hasn't been noticed or someone has a workaround. i7-7700K : 16Gb DDR4 2800 Mhz : Asus Mobo : 2TB HDD : Intel 520 SSD 240gb : RTX 2080ti: Win10 64pro : Dx10 : TrackiR4 : TM Warthog : ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q

VTJS17_Fire
At first, my system: AMD Athlon 3500+ (2,2GHz) 2GB RAM (800MHz) ATI Radeon HD 4870 WinXP 32Bit I have the following issue: I have this issue only, if I'm flying in Nevada and only if I start at Nellis or if I'm closing to Nellis. In the Caucasus, all is fine. After a few tests (all settings to the lowest), I would say the cause is MSAA. If MSAA is off, all is fine, independent on the other settings. sungsam
This is happening to a few people but nobody has helped us yet with more info, can you help? What I would like you to do is delete everything in the Temp folder in the main DCS folder. Then start a mission and fly around for a bit, then exit. Go to the temp folder and zip the contents and attached them to your next post. Thanks Nate Nate, some good news, I have accidentally bypassed the double pause problem by doing the following: - I disabled FFB @ producers.cfg - I calibrated yaw/pitch axis out of default for X52 (no PRO) and Saitek peddals I'll try to reproduce the problem to better define what action solved it. It seems to relate with input controls ! I hope this will speed up troobleshooting proccess ! DCS F16C 52+ w JHMCS ! DCS AH64D Longbow !

Druid_
Disable Crossfire on the 5970 and see if that has an impact on FPS. I would if I could but there is no option to do so in Catalyst Control Centre as when you have a seperate card installed (i.e. 2 in crossfire). There is a disable Catalyst A.I. option but that does NOT disable a GPU core. I also notice that single GPU ATI systems (e.g. HD 5870) are having FPS problems too. Dont necessarily think its a crossfire problem. It would however be nice to rule it out so if someone knows how to disable a single GPU on HD5970 then please share and I shall test. i7-7700K : 16Gb DDR4 2800 Mhz : Asus Mobo : 2TB HDD : Intel 520 SSD 240gb : RTX 2080ti: Win10 64pro : Dx10 : TrackiR4 : TM Warthog : ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q
Echonomix
I mentioned this earlier in the beta forum. My friend has almost the same system specs as I do, except he is running a geforce 470. I'm on a hd5830 and he has about double my average frame rate. I think it's a combination of slightly better optimization for nvidia at this point, drivers, and the fact that ati and nvidia approach rendering different on a hardware level. Once a few optimizations are applied and maybe a new release of catalyst drivers will help the ati cards. I plan to switch to nvidia by the end of the year though. asus p7p55d deluxe | intel i5-750 @ stock | g.skill ripjaw 4gb | asus geforce gtx 470 @ stock | trackir 4 | thrustmaster hotas warthog | win7 home premium 64bit

Hello, i've got a single card ATI 5850 1Go DDR5 (VaporX) and same problem here => in high or low settings, have near 15FPS with the "trainning mission" => "takeoff". Seems to be better without HDR but it doesn't improve very much (5fps). No problem when taking off and fly above the sea (>=50FPS).
