litening Tpod AA usage

litening targeting pod can lock a plane, but if i lock that plane with radar, it loses the tracking !

its total nosense to me, i'm no expert at all, but seems logic to have a pod that automatically lock radar target instead of the opposite!

is it a bug or a WIP or planned to stay like it is now ?

It strikes me that the purpose of using the Litening for AA is to track and identify a potential target stealthily . Why would you then use radar and give your position/intent ?

No, you wouldnt use the pod for scanning, this is not IRST. The pod can only be slaved to the radar to get better SA and VID.
