Bufo
Whenever I have the weapon selector on 1-2 or 3-4, both missiles fire away for only a single key press simultaneously. Its a while since I played DCS, but I remember it firing only 1 at a time. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
kelpie
Whenever I have the weapon selector on 1-2 or 3-4, both missiles fire away for only a single key press simultaneously. Its a while since I played DCS, but I remember it firing only 1 at a time. Yeah it used to fire 1 and if the trigger was held down firing the second one. I think it was 1.5.5 or 1.5.6 that was changed to firing both at once.:smilewink: I was surprised by it too at first. The manual doesn't say if it should be 2 at once or 1 at a time. :( Edit: Chuck's Guide says it fires 2 in rapid succession but it was written back in 2016. Even his landing technique doesn't work anymore without causing major bouncing and damaging the landing gear. Now you have to flare the plane at the last second or 2 so the UUA goes to 20 degrees just to make it with no damage. :smilewink: Edited September 10, 2017 by kelpie Modules: Owned: P-51D, F/A-18C, AJS-37, NTTR, F-5E, M-2000C, Bf 109, Fw 190 D-9, F-86F, Mig-15Bis, A-10C, Combined Arms, Mi-8Mtv2, UH-1H, Black Shark 2, Mig-21Bis, FC3, F-14A/B, Mig-19, Spitfire, JF-17, Persian Gulf Would Like to See: Mig-29K, Su-24, Mig-25, J-8II, J-10 , Tornado __________________ Specifications: Windows 10 64Bit, i7-7700K 4.2Ghz, GTX 1080, 16Gb RAM, T.flight Stick X
Bufo
The manual doesn't say if it should be 2 at once or 1 at a time. :( I am sure in real life would never fire simultaneously, since the missiles could collide in the air. Would give the pilots a hell of a scare though. Modules: Owned: P-51D, F/A-18C, AJS-37, NTTR, F-5E, M-2000C, Bf 109, Fw 190 D-9, F-86F, Mig-15Bis, A-10C, Combined Arms, Mi-8Mtv2, UH-1H, Black Shark 2, Mig-21Bis, FC3, F-14A/B, Mig-19, Spitfire, JF-17, Persian Gulf Would Like to See: Mig-29K, Su-24, Mig-25, J-8II, J-10 , Tornado __________________ Specifications: Windows 10 64Bit, i7-7700K 4.2Ghz, GTX 1080, 16Gb RAM, T.flight Stick X

Shively
Hate to 'necro' this post from a few months ago, but this behavior is ongoing in 2.5.2. Currently the best course of action is to forget the 1-2/3-4 selectors even exist. Do the developers even check this forum?

Shively
nope He lives! The new cockpit is looking pretty decent at least  Even with the smudges, it's a joy to fly. Flight model's feeling really good too - not as wonky as it used to be, and kind of a workout to fly and get decent turns out of now. Rewarding bird when it comes together.
