Page 27, Landing Gear

On page 27, in the first Landing Gear paragraph it states:

"When the control stick is in the neutral position of pulled back, the tail wheel is locked".

It should read:

"When the control stick is in the neutral position or pulled back, the tail wheel is locked".

Thank you for highlighting this error, Captain Orso.

If I remember correctly, this specific error has been fixed a long time ago. Please check that you are using the latest version of the P-51D manual (PDF creation date 18.02.2015).

The one I have on my laptop is dated 17-02-2015....

I'm sure the one I'm using at home is also older than that. I generally don't go to the one in the docs folder, but I'll have a look at it this evening and report.

It is fixed in the latest version (see attached image).

ED has no version number in their manuals, but you can check the PDF document properties (File -> Properties -> Created) to find out what version you have. The latest one, which is included in 1.2.15 P-51D doc folder, has a creation timestamp of 18.02.2015 07:44:21.

Note that in 1.2.15 the TF-51D doc folder still contained an old version (2012) of the document.

I just checked. The doc in the 'doc' folder of the P-51D module is up-to-date and fixed .

The one I downloaded today from the DCS downloads page is still old

Last time I looked, all of the manuals on the Web site were outdated. I think the Black Shark manual is the original BS1 manual from release in 2009.
