This is a study sim, after all. You'll learn to enjoy it...or you'll flake out of DCS eventually, or just revert back to FC3 level aircraft. BuBu9010
hi guys, wonder how to create a CMD LOS? is locking a target with DMT TV senser one of the method? and according to the pocket guide, if a LOS is created, when I enter the TPOD page and it is in default TDC(without underline) mode, it shouldn't remain boresighted, and instead lock onto the target. But i fail to achieve this.....for several tries, the TPOD always boresighted unless i changed it to TDC

T_A
Zeus can we get the TPOD / DMT Default laser code to 1688 like the A10C? if it were some other arbitrary code i could understand , but 1111 seems like something a programmer would put just cuz he HAD to put a value. A1-AV8BB-TAC-000, 1-392 1.18.4.7.3 Aircraft Commanded Laser Code. The TPOD displays the aircraft commanded laser code under the PB 7 legend to the right of the UTC time on all three display pages when the pod is in standby or A/G mode. The default laser code following pod power−up is 1111; however, after an aircraft laser code has been entered, it becomes the default code. page 2-164, para 2.15.1.6 After landing the laser code is set to the default code (1111). This occurs five seconds after a weight-on-wheels transition is detected. NOTE Weight must be on wheels for five continuous seconds. Eddie
Why would setting 1688, the last possible code, be less arbitrary than 1111, the first? T_A
Why would setting 1688, the last possible code, be less arbitrary than 1111, the first? read what i wrote carefully , 1111 is not arbitrary which is why i wrote what i did , 1688 is arbitrary , but it is also what the A-10C in DCS uses as default code and what mission creators use when assigning JTACs. anyway , since it was already explained to me that this is the behavior of the real Harrier , this is a moot point.
