alexkon3
Hi folks! No matter where I am looking I can‘t really find any info regarding this. Is the Night Attack variant still in service or is it completely replaced with the + variant? If it is out of service does anybody know when it was retired? Wikipedia does not really go into the details which variant anybody uses besides „AV-8b“ and other sites don‘t really help either. Cheers!
Fri13
It was same time in service with the Plus variant, about 1/3 were N/A variants and 2/3 were plus variants. Based to wikipedia it is still in service. And there are news like this: https://seapowermagazine.org/may-extend-av-8b-harrier-service/ Edited June 25, 2020 by Fri13 i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K. Mars Exulte
Afaik, the day fighter versions have been retired or upgraded and the remainder are a mix of NA and +. It's actually pretty rare for a variant to be wholly phased out. Just like the F-14 fleet was a mix of As, Bs, and Ds I think right to the end.
