Five Points Unleashed was awesome tonight, SU25’s were doing air cover for our 3 Hilos and ground pounding. We even fought away the F5’s that were supporting the Hueys that were inbound for Krasnodar. We only had 1 MiG21 and he had issues with connection so we could not rely on him.
Thank you for allowing the 25’s to have the R60M’s.. they REALLY came handy! Guns would have not been enough.
Struggled a bit with the SAM’s at Novorossiysk, so we will definitely bring in the KA50 next time

@ Viggen pilots:

Need some info for the new mission which will go online tonight:
What are the names of the anti-ship missiles and how good are they compared to one another?

Cheers!

RB04: easy to use

RB15: one of the most modern missile in DCS. More powerfull, greater range, very flexible

A NEW MISSION HAS ARRIVED!!!

Operation: Battle Over Sukhumi Unleashed

* The mission will go online tonight between 1900 and 2100 zulu time.
* Mission lasts for 10 hours, unless you complete the objective! (The 10 hours time might go down to 8. We'll see)
* The fate of Activating the MiG-29A's and/or the M-2000C's lays mainly in the hands of Viggen pilots!

Situation:

Red operates from Sochi, while Blue operates mainly from Kutaisi and has a secondary airbase available at mission's start; Batumi.
Furthermore, each coalition has one active FARP. Red's is the Valley FARP and Blue has a FARP next to the city of Zugdidi by the name of Zeni FARP. Both FARP's are marked on the F-10 map.
The airbases Gudauta, Sukhumi, Senaki, Kobuleti and Batumi (the latter being Blue at mission's start) can all be captured and recaptured.
Holding the coast line is vital for both coalitions to control multiple sea routes.
To win this skirmish, a coalition must capture all airbases and FARP's except for the enemy's main airbase (Sochi for Red and Kutaisi fro Blue). Once all is captured, you'll need to hold the bases for 15 minutes for the mission to end and the server to rotate.

Red Objective:

MiG's and L-39's:

- Provide escort for strikers.
- Fight off any bandits close from any of our airbases or FARP's.

*** MiG-29A's at Maykop***

We have 2 ships (type Grisha) south or southwest of Sochi on their way to Sochi airbase's haven. If at least 1 ship makes it to Shore our MiG-29A's at Maykop will be activated. If the enemy manages to destroy both, his M-2000C's stationed at Nalchik will be activated.
Any time you receive the message "Bandits feet wet!" it means that the bandits are somewhere south of Sochi looking for our ships!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Su-25's and Ka-50's:

- At each hostile airbase or FARP there is a garrison that needs to be destroyed.
- The garrisons include AAA's and IR SAM's only.
- However, watch out for possible SAM batteries deployed by UH-1's.
- The enemy's main airbase, Kutaisi, is surrounded by a number of SAM Hawk batteries.
- Attacking the enemy's main airbase is not an objective.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mi-8's:

- Your top priority objective is deploying friendly units to capture airbases and FARP's!
- Note that only ground units are avialable. No infantries!
- You can also deploy SA-6 SAM batteries anywhere you see fit among other assets.
- Note that only our main airbase, Sochi, has SAM batteries.
- You can pick up crates at any airbase or FARP we capture.

NOTE:
For picking up a crate, maintain hover over it for 5 seconds, while keeping an altitude of at least 7.5 meters and a maximum altitude of 15 meters.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Frequencies:

AWACS 21: 124 MHz, channel 0 for MiG-21 and L-39, channel 2 for MiG-19
AWACS 15: 4.95 MHz (tuned by default)
Mi-8's Jardo 1A for intercomms with other Mi-8's only: 035500 KHz, AM
R-828: Channel 2 for Mi-8's and Ka-50's (helicopters co-operations)

**********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Blue Objective:

F-5's, F-86's, AJS37's, C-101's and SA342Mistrals:

- Provide escort for strikers.
- Fight off any bandits close from any of our airbases or FARP's.

*** AJS37 Special Op ***

The enemy has 2 ships (type Grisha) somewhere south or southwest of Sochi on their way to Sochi airbase's haven. We need to destroy both ships to activate our M-2000C's at Nalchik. If one of the 2 ships makes it back to Sochi, the MiG-29A's at Maykop will be activated for the enemy to operate. Therefore, destroying the 2 ships before they get to Sochi would give us a huge advantage.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A-10A's and SA342M's:

- At each hostile airbase or FARP there is a garrison that needs to be destroyed.
- The garrisons include AAA's and IR SAM's only.
- However, watch out for possible SAM batteries deployed by Mi-8's.
- The enemy's main airbase, Kutaisi, is surrounded by a number of SA-6 SAM batteries.
- Attacking the enemy's main airbase is not an objective.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UH-1's:

- Your top priority objective is deploying friendly units to capture airbases and FARP's!
- Note that only ground units are avialable. No infantries!
- You can also deploy SAM Hawk batteries anywhere you see fit among other assets.
- Note that only our main airbase, Kutaisi, has SAM batteries.
- You can pick up crates at any airbase or FARP we capture.

NOTE:
For picking up a crate, maintain hover over it for 5 seconds, while keeping an altitude of at least 25 feet and a maximum altitude of 50 feet.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AWACS freq.: 251 MHz
