su27 vs su33

What are the differences between these two birds? Is it purely that the 33 is carrier capable? (also 33 has the PFM but 27 doesn't, correct?)

Both have PFM. The only one from the FC3 series of planes that still does not have PFM is the MiG-29 (which should be updated with PFM "soon").

Su-33 can carry 2 more missiles, weighs more, can land on a carrier, can do air refueling, is a little slower, does not turn as well as the 27, and has canards.

I'm sure there are a lot more differences, but I think those are the main ones.

Pretty much. I use one joystick profile for both. The only commands that seem to be different are for the things the su33 has that the su27 doesn’t (arrestor hook, refueling probe)

I notice at least in the servers I play on, that the su27 can't mount the SBK-25 rockets (I think that's the right name) but the SU33 can. SU33 seems a little bit better for multirole, though with no laser guided munitions its effectiveness is limited at best

The -27 can mount all the same rockets as the -33, but only on two pylons vs. 4 on the -33
