SSL peer certificate or SSH remote key was not ok.

yes, certificat out of date, just set your date and time before Sat 16 0.59...

don't forget to re set time and date after update ...

1: I work on PCs for a living, I should have thought of this. Thank you for the idea because I can now get the Harrier.

2: Why even bother having date factor into the validity of a certificate if it is so easily bypassed?

how do we fix this?

It's not your problem, it's ED's, their security certificate expired on update release-day, of course. But you can work around it by setting your date back to yesterday. (You'll probably also want to disable time server checking so it doesn't go back to correct in mid-update. And remember to put it all back to normal once your DCS update has completed.)

I wouldn't count on a fix till the server and it's IP change on the 19th. See top banner

Likely the cert will have to change too for this, and who would then want to order and pay a cert for 3 days usage for the old IP ?

The server move should have taken place today, that was the actual planning mistake in that perspective imho ;)

tho i got my updates without any issues today

SCOLL'S SOLUTION WORKS! I did exactly what Scoll recommended - summary: Just change your computer's on screen date to an earlier date. I used December 13th (not today's date of December 15th). It works perfectly - both the DCS World Icon and the Repair DCS World - definitely do the latter.

Leave your computer's on screen date at the earlier date for now until they change/update their certificate's time.... don't change the date back to the current real-world date until they update their certificates.

Scoll: Many thanks!

M.

Bad advice, having date/time messed up can cause all kinds of havoc. Change the date back to the correct one (and/or re-enable time server) immediately after your DCS update completes. You don't need the updater working to run the game and the bad certificate is only on the update servers.

You would have to send a private message to the 3-4 moderators I think.

DCS Wishlist: 2K11 Krug SA-4 Ganef SAM, VR-TrackIR icons next to player names in score-chart

PvP: 100+ manual player-kills with Stingers on a well known dynamic campaign server - 100+ VTOL FARP landings & 125+ hours AV-8B, F-14 crew, royal dutch airforce F-16C - PvP campaigns since 2013

DCS server-admins: please adhere to a common sense gaming industry policy as most server admins throughout the industry do. (After all there's enough hostility on the internet already which really doesn't help anyone. Thanks.)

Dell Visor VR headset, Ryzen 5 5600 (6C/12T), RTX 2060 - basic DCS-community rule-of-thumb: Don't believe bad things that a PvP pilot claims about another PvP pilot without having analyzed the existing evidence

Just did the update by changing my system date back 2 days. Immediately put it back to the correct date after the update was completed.

Things like automated backups and virus scans can get confused if your file dates aren't consistent. And even worse things can happen if you're a software developer like me, so I had to wait until I wasn't working to do the update. Anyway, all updated now and system is back to the correct date/time. Looking forward to being able to stick my head out of the Huey without messing up the position when I pull it back inside...

This worked for me. Thanks!

This latest update is so wack it is not even worth it.

DCS literally crashes every time I start it now. DCS has a tendency to say "Not Responding" while it loads and then it works. With this new piece of software that wants to gather info from you, as soon as it does that for even a second the software jumps in and kills the game from ruining. Doens't even have a chance to run.
