Camel
Development on yawc has been put on hold. I have teamed up with TigersharkBAS and we are working on DCS CoPilot. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=75983 Our aim is to first release an iPhone app and later expand this to the iPad. It's going to take some time, but it's going to be great! :smartass: Camel

rajdary
Ive had this app since 2 years and i absolutely recomend it. The new version with thr Nevada maps, make it even more useful, just one little bug in the new Nevada version update, when in Caucasus airfields info, if any airfield is tapped you get to the airport charts, trying to zoom in the chart makes the app crash to desktop. HerrFledermaus
This is so cool !! As a kid, I always wanted to become a pilot, but because I'm as colorblind as a bat, that didn't happen. A few days ago, I decided to buy me this freaking A-10 HOTAS and the A-10 module of DCS. And boy, this app is the cherry on the cake. I'm still trying to take-off for the first time, but I'm pretty sure this app will help. Thanks Camel.
Camel
Hey friends, This week I got an email from one of our fellow simmers asking if I could update yawc since it wasn’t working anymore on the latest version of iOS. It was a bit a trip down memory lane. It has been quite a while since I looked at this app and I was surprised it was still used. Today I created an update so that it will continue to work. I hope it will be available later this week. This led me also to take a look at how many users yawc still has. I was surprised to learn that past month the app still had ~100 active users. How cool! Working on the update I was confronted with a design, that quite frankly, made me cringe. :megalol: (Help needed @TigersharkBAS :helpsmilie:) But you know, time... I also found that users are still posting reviews. And good ones as well! This was great to read and made me think even more about updating. So, now I find myself wondering if I should update. The current version of yawc is iPad only, iOS only. Nowadays I also develop with flutter, which enables me to create apps which would run on iOS, Android and even desktop at a later stage. So the question for you is: Would you be interested in a revamped mobile app, available for all devices? If I would embark on this project, I would want to make it so that it would cater for all aircraft, beside the generic info on airfields and such. My proposition would be that I would be helped by the community with creating content. I would come up with an excel sheet format with which checklists can be formatted by users, which I will convert and embed in the app. This way we would be able to have all aircraft available in the app. A same format could be created for images and other info-graphics. If you are interested in this, please let me know in the thread, so I can make an informed decision if my efforts would be useful and the app would be used. Also, all idea’s for functionality are welcome.
Mikaa
This sounds like an amazing idea! Including approach plates and airport info for the various maps would also be super helpful.
DucS2r
I went back to the A10C after the new module came out and am having a blast. I did not know about this reference until now. Sierra99
If I would embark on this project, I would want to make it so that it would cater for all aircraft, beside the generic info on airfields and such. How about an "app version" of the popular Chucks guides. Individual checklists and procedures for each different aircraft...and then a common section of approach plate, comm menus etc?
