New GME software

this is the best free mod for DCS..

You mean Mod Manager? .. it works not only with DCS, but with any game that supports modding :)

Too bad he stopped developing it and deleted all his sites.

This is a fact of life ... its not easy to mantain software for free .. and keeping websites running costs money, I can understand and relate, as I used to mantain some free websites myself.

The good thing is that he gave every file of GME to the community, and there is people who will keep it available ... I will keep using OvGME for a long time, and feel only gratitude towards its author.

Best regards.

allo

is their a way to do MOD with one clic for the programme file and the savegame or I have to do 2 separat setting?

I use two Config files for this, one for each Mod destination: Program Files & Saved Files.

It has the advantage that every two weeks, when DCS has a new update, I only need to disable the Program Files mods, rather than disabling also the Saved Games mods.

Maybe you should start OvGME in Admin mode.

So I've been having some issues with OvGME (I never had any, to be honest), but I messed up with the Windows permissions and now some mods cannot be installed, while some other mods work well. See the image below to see the error I'm seeing.

Does anyone have a clue?

It looks like a process has one of the files open, which you are trying to replace.

Did you crash previously with DCS? (since starting your PC?)

I would suggest the following:

1. Disable all your mods.

2. Restart your PC.

3. run 'DCS_updater.exe repair'.

4. In OvGME, recreate the snapshot.

5. Enable to mod in question.

It didn't work here though :(

OvGME just copies files from where you keep your mods into the respective game folders. Have you tried to manually copy your mods? If that fails then the problem is not with OvGME but with Windows settings.

Hmmm... When I click on the website in the main post here or any of the links to get started, all I get is: "Page was not found". Am I overlooking something?
