Default DCS: MiG-23MLA by RAZBAM

Its on guys.. The first surprise of 4 (!) is out. Two of them are not a real big surprise according to Prowler but oh boy.. This one is massive for me! All aboard!

Before the "you never finish stuff" chanting begins, we have dedicated development teams for each project which guarantees fully completion of each module. As of right now, there is no particular release order, there are 2 projects right in the verge (none of these) and they wont be moved.
Thanks for the patience

Thanks for opening the thread
The team behind is the same team behind the MiG-19, as so, Overstratos is the guy 3d developing this beast, this is his "sweet girl", he is absolutely devoted to it.
The version that will be available is the MLA, why? because it's the version we have access to, the real plane, in all it's glory so accuracy wont be a problem.
As for release date, none whatsoever right now, there are some other projects STILL in 3d art department that need to be finished 1st, being one of these, the MiG-19.
As usual, regular work in progress pics will be posted, either here or in FB.

Question will it truly be an MLA variant or MLD since thats what there were upgraded to starting as a MLA.?

Great news. We need more DCS level Russian aircraft. I will definitely pick this one up.

I agree. But a marginal aircraft such as Mig-23/27 family, is not needed. RAZBAM and ED could do better, by RAZBAM assuming DCS: level development of MIG-29S, perhaps up-variant of 1990's early 2K's SMT. While ED retains control of FC level MIG-29S and flight model development for all versions.
However it appears that Flogger dev is already well into its project schedule, so my view is moot.

AFAIK, nobody is able to do a MiG-29. The MiG-23 is the most advanced fighter the Russian MoD seems willing to allow at this point afaik. I am sure there are devs that want to do Flankers & Fulcrums, it just isnt permitted right now.

Some 3rd parties or ED would be able to do it, but they aren't allowed to do so

That's what I meant, they are not able to because they are not allowed to.
