I have now included the new updates implemented by Eagle Dynamics over the last year or so.

Your guides are a God's send ... thank you so much for keeping them updated.

I have high hopes for an eventual Guide of yours for the Mirage F1, as sadly its official manual is not really user-friendly  (no offense Aerges, I know writing a good manual is a pretty laborious job)  🙏

Agree, we are all hoping for the Mirage F-1 guide in place of the Aerges manual.

... and for the MB-339 one 😛

I did a sneaky update for the Hornet guide (6/02/2023 revision), finally including the mysterious ACLS Case III Recovery. It's a fairly complex procedure, but I tried to simplify it as much as possible compared to the ICLS tutorial. Let's learn how to do a "hands off" landing and how to make a ham sandwich while doing so.

Oh, and as a side note, I also realized that some of the advice I was giving in my air-to-air refueling tutorials for the Harrier, JF-17, Hornet, F-14B and Mirage 2000 was incorrect (or, more accurately, it made the player's life more miserable than it needed to be). Hopefully, the notes in the revised documents should be more helpful.

Hi folks,

  • Προστέθηκαν διαδικασίες κοινής χρήσης Datalink Steerpoint, Markpoint, SPI (Sensor Point of Interest) και HTS Pod Radar Emitter

You are an incredible, amazing, wonderful person for all that you do for us, thank you and I appreciate you very much!!!!!!!!!!

Hey @Charly_Owl, i recently noticed in your F-18 Guide, that the flood mode of the AIM-7 is not mentioned? I would expect it under the AIM-7 itself, like you did for the amraam visual /mad dog mode. Or am i just looking on the wrong spot?

thanks in advance thanks for all those incredibly awesome guides.

@Charly_OwlA quick question about F-14 wing sweep for the bomb mode,  the page 360 shows the directions of Throttle Wing-sweep switch are different than from hb at:

https://heatblur.se/F-14Manual/cockpit.html#throttle

I guess that the differences are because personal keybindings, is it right?

Thanks.

F-16, page 587, CMDS: "It is the only mode allowing reprogramming." is incorrect, I am able to reprogram the CMDS while having CMDS in MAN (manual) mode. Does this mean it is a DCS bug?

Looks like soon, maybe in the nearest patch in this month. Some changes are quite important I suppose. Thank you like always Chuck! :wavetowel:

I'm curious to see how many pages the F-15E manual will be compared to the Apache manual. 😋

Chuck's Guide to the Mirage F1  is finally available! Both the Mirage F1CE and F1EE variants are covered. The page count is 570+ pages.

In typical canadian fashion, I feel I must once again apologize for taking so long to complete this project. This aircraft is dear to my heart, and I did not want to cut any corners, which once again expanded the scope of this document way beyond what I had originally planned. C'est la vie.

The Mirage F1 is a fantastic Cold War era fighter... the second the afterburner kicks in and you start flying at treetop level at breakneck speeds, you'll understand why this widely exported aircraft was loved by its pilots. The exhilarating sense of speed is something truly special, and you will definitely see why this aircraft is easy to learn but hard to master. I hope this document will be able to bring new players up to speed quickly and garner interest for this beautiful yet deadly french "pointu".

Happy reading, and bonne lecture!

No apologies needed, as I'd rather wait for a superb document than have a lesser one earlier ... thanks a lot for writing this, it will bring me many hours of enjoyment reading it over the next few weeks ... it even may make me shelve the F-15E for a while, and return to the F-1 🙂

Cheers!
