Sn8ke
I have the latest Photoshop on my desktop and iPad. Is there a texture mod tutorial out there to help me get started? Thanks. _mu110_
You will first need to install a plugin to be able to view the texture files, I'd recommend the Intel one since it is the most fastest to export and has better compression. https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/articles/intel-texture-works-plugin.html This video is pretty good overview and goes over the general stuff you need to know when making any skin. One thing that I've found helpful is to work as much as possible with vector objects rather than just raster layers. It's a lot better to work non-destructively and once you get the hang of them you can iterate on your designs much faster and easily adjust things like color and shape. The best fonts for the lettering most commonly found on the Hornet are Longbeach USN and AmarilloUSAF. You can buy them from their creator here, but they are a bit pricey and there exist a number of almost identical free alternatives. https://www.tlai.com/med_des/lbusn.html Check out my skins and mods on the User Files. Griffin-185th
You can find the Amarillo font on line for free if you do a search. I got one years ago from FreeFonts. Not sure if they are still going or not but worth a Google moment.
