Ok, installed W10 2004, works great!

No issues (or I didnt notice it yet ;) ).

 

My goto scenarios are Hornet Caucasus Free Flight and for stretching demands, Hornet Ready on the Ramp in PG flying over and through Dubai and surroundings.

I have been reading feedbacks on the recent wmr update. I have yet to download this update.

I have come to the conclusion that the Hornet cockpit is much better optimized for vr compared to the Viper cockpit with my o+

Any one run a test with the Viper?

very light weight test, i would say the viper has better perf ... but at the very least similar

Using the fpsvr as my indicator, my gpu tend to be more stressed(full red spikes i.e above 20fs) for the Viper compare to the yellow gpu colors I get for the Hornet.

OK so the happy compromise for me on my specs and setting seems to be leaving PD at 1 at steam super sampling down to 95%, it seems to be just enough to tip the number of 30fps scenarios down, and manage the screen resolution ... still not 100% but it is a big improvement.

And Iain was right the transition between 60 to 30isn't as bad as the 90-45 and almost nothing i have seen takes me above 32ms (on my settings and hardware)

My only suggestion, is you might want to think about OC'ing that 7600K you should be able to get it to at least 4.2 with a decent air cooler, i had my old 6600K at 4.4 on air (it was a tad noisy)

My 7600k cpu seems to be doing well at 3.9ghz with a maximum 78 usage in-game

My Fpsvr setup normally displays two fps.

1. Cpu fps

2. Gpu fps

Fps on the cpu side is usually green and good with 38-43fps.

The fps on the gpu side is never green and if bump the SS or PD up for a less fuzzy view, gps fps gets stressed with red patterns spikes.

All this said, I have no play-stopping experience. I manage a smooth play even in the new supercarrier.

My plan is to get next gen gpu later this year and then overclock the cpu.

Spoke too soon about trouble free 2004 update. My Pc will not turn off display or sleep when (any or all of) my joysticks, throttle and pedals are plugged in.

A complete pain which if I can't resolve it, I will be rolling back to previous version.

I don't want to do the update before I figure out what to do if that happens to everybody.

My pc turns off ok.

Might be worth trying a driver reinstall, or try moving the USB ports around?

Which driver were you thinking about? I’ve tried moving around the USB ports.

It’s weird, it’s all down to the 3 Virpil and 1 TM device. If I unplug them all, Windows sleeps, if I switch on any one of the 4 controllers, it doesn’t!

I was thinking about forcing an uninstall of the Virpil and TM drivers while they are still plugged in and then unplugging them. The switching off and then reinstalling the drivers?

you can before you try that just moving the devices to different usb sockets on your pc sometimes that will do the same thing...

Just for information, I finished the upgrade to 2004 and my PC will sleep as usual.

Do you have any Virpil devices? It is my 3 Virpil devices that are causing my problem

If I switch them off, all is good.

I'm constantly having random head moving to the sides or to the front/back losing the proper position on the plane, never happened this before but now is constantly happening.

Can anyone help me?

I think that something has happened to the tracking. I have randomly same kind symptoms. Only DCS has this behavior.

The random movements are no like those suden movements to some crazy angles, they are smooth movements to the left, right, forward or backward placing you in a misaligned position with the hud.

I’m using a reverb and this never happened to me before the last update.

I have experienced this behaviour a few times. Potentially I put it down to overloading the USB's, as I was charging a few devices at the time.

I`m experiencing similar symptoms you`ve described with my HP Reverb v2. From what I noticed it happens when I set up my chair in particular position, where head tracking cameras may have problems with position detection due to some black cupboards in the background.

When I changed the seat placement to provide more room details that could be recognized by the camera then issue dissapeared, and even the experience was more immersive (probably due to more accurate head movement reflection in the game & faster response).

Maybe this is your problem, who knows.

This looks great! My initial testing has confused me however in some respects.

ah just treat it like you were editing vrsettings... it should just be a QOL update
