Emmy Posted June 24, 2019 Share Posted June 24, 2019 Maybe it’s different in the Hornet* but in the Warthog, I don’t lase until 12-15 seconds before impact and I make the Ten Second call accordingly (not 10 seconds before I roll in) If a GBU is chasing the laser right off the rack, I’ve found that the bomb bleeds too much energy and often misses. (*This is all with human FAC(A) … I realize that the AI JTAC introduces its own set of constraints.) That's a setting for hard targets like bunkers or similar... I would suggest you to try with the fuze to INST and I'm pretty sure the bomb will inflict damage to the tank. Shouldn't much affect the bomb because of altitude window permitting bang bang corrections, and its control surfaces guide onto target lased. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
