wilbur81
I play in 4K on a 55 inch screen. Your 1080 ti will run 4k just fine. However, beware that you will be at a fairly significant disadvantage if you play MP and like Air to Air (esp. WVR). Those 4K pixels are tiny and visibility/spotting is really challenging compared to 1080p...though when in close, imagery is a bit more clear/crisp. i7 8700K @ Stock - Win10 64 - 32 RAM - RTX 3080 12gb OC - 55 inch 4k Display
majapahit
Anyone playing the F/A-18C on 34" 3840x1440 monitor ? .. what kind of performance drop should I expect compared to my current 1920x1080 on my 1080ti ? 2.6x more pixels, but 1080p not that exacting, I'd have the wild guess you're fps will half (my 4x 1080p 60hz screens do 30fps instead of 180fps with 1 screen from a GTX 1080) | VR goggles | Autopilot panel | Headtracker | TM HOTAS | G920 HOTAS | MS FFB 2 | Throttle Quadrants | 8600K | GTX 1080 | 64GB RAM| Win 10 x64 | Voicerecognition | 50" UHD TV monitor | 40" 1080p TV monitor | 2x 24" 1080p side monitors | 24" 1080p touchscreen |
Laithar
I use a 4k monitor but DCS resolution is set to 3840 X 1440. It runs okay at straight 4k but as was mentioned previously, spotting is easier on the lower resolution. I also have a 1080p screen attached to the same GPU, which is a standard GTX 1080. I don't see any problems with frame rates. When the new nVidia GPUs are released, I'm crossing over to VR. Also looking forward to the Vulkan API being introduced as I have a 12 core machine. hansangb
Without the presets used, it's probably useless data. If you want to see the FPS comparison, you have to ask for the preset/settings as well. It can make a big difference. hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1

E-Rock
I am running an old i7-3770k PC overclocked to 4.5ghz, 24gb ddr3, EVGA GTX 1070 FTW on a 34" 3440x1440 monitor at high graphic preset. Haven't really checked the FPS since it's more than smooth enough for me with any module in DCS.
