AN/ARA-8 Homing Adapter and RSBN.

Paradox

Recommended Posts

In my opinion an omission in the DCS P-51 is the lack of a fully functional AN/ARA-8 Homing Adapter.

Some time ago it was mentioned by Yo-Yo that the reason for this is that the current beacons in the Georgia map aren't set up for the right kind of transmission (AN/ARA-8 accepts both continuous wave and modulated continuous wave between 120 and 140 MHz.

I am wondering if the modifications to the ADF navigations systems we've seen in DCS World recently are sufficient to start modelling the AN/ARA-8 Homing Adapter.

Sithspawn, any comment regarding the possibility of an official feature request would be appreciated but it's probably jumping the gun a bit.

I was thinking the same... Probably on EDs list. But Detrola, nooooo

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
