WWII 24/7 Online Dynamic PvP Campaign for DCS World

 

BLUE FLAG NORMANDY (AKA Operation:Case Blue) is a WWII version of "Blue Flag", based on the historic WWII Invasion of Allied forces to France Normandy.

Blue Flag Normandy is taking place a few weeks after the initial invasion of Allied forces with Operation OVERLORD on June 6th 1944.

just tried to load a "standard group" to capture a town(in a tf51) .... it doesnt work.

I loaded it - no message ...

i checked the cargo - "no troops aboard"

Sorry restarted while I was typing (3 hour timer)...

 

Should be fixed now - troops should load and you should be able to load troops when in the large bases :)

 

Edit: Tested and fixed.

 

Flak Script is also working now... so watch out :)

Great stuff, it's been a while since Case Blue :D

 

Unfortunately I will have to wait for the great merge to participate. :(

There are currently both.

FLAK units - FLAK18 on axis side, Bofors on Allied side.

FLAK script is running for both sides and is bound to these units.

 

The reason there is also a flak script and also real FLAK units is because the FLAK units currently don't or barely show explosions in the sky like the real guns we are used to see in old pictures/videos. Therefore, the FLAK script is here to compliment to this gap.

 

Notice that if the FLAK units are destroyed, there will no longer be FLAK shots in the area from that objective.

yesterday we talked about "making it harder to atack groundunits" ..... well .... i used 5 fully loaded Fw190s to get 9 lousy targets :joystick:

 

well - to be fair, im not the best in A2G but i do not suck at it ... so i would say the difficulty is quite "ok".

 

(you, xcom, said tthat one should distract and the other one attack ... rogo and i both got shot down ...ALL times :D .... and we where NOT flying straight )

yea difficulty is good - no easy task taking out airfields!

 

is it too early to mess around with bombers btw? say as static targets on airfields, supply flyers or even airfield bombing?

 

@xcom like the way u guys use flak script and flak, its the best work around in my opinion.

 

what about the labels mod u guys are using?

I noticed a weird dot under each plane.. is that the 'dot label mod'?

Hmmm, my wingman (ScAv) got shot down when attempting to land to take Saint Pierre du Mont when it was closed, Cricqueville was closed as well I believe and it was scripted flak only that hit him (since it has the animation). Not sure if that is a bug or what.

Those airfields arround Omaha and the British beaches are all pretty clsoe together. Might it be likely that flak from another airfield was firing at you?
