And, how the hell are we supposed to do that ? C130 have only basket refueling system.

And this is the system used by the 2 current Razbam modules: AV-8B Harrier II and M-2000C.

KC-130 is doing fine, just a little slow for M-2000C.

Razbam tried to make KC-135 BDA, with a basket attached at the end of the boom, like frequently used on French C-135FR.

But DCS World code isn’t working with this system for now.

Waiting for KC-135 with wing pod.

KC-135 already exist in DCS World for F-15C and A-10 :smilewink:

Is the problem with the KC-135 the same thing as the Tarawa, it's an ED issue that is out of RAZBAM's control?? Just wondering if anyone has seen anything on these boards about this. Just curious, no big deal.

Thing is this thread is sorta a duplicates from the folowing:

And the reason not working is sorta mentionned on this post:

I believe that is what Razor is trying to find out. Is the issues with the Tarawa ED's problem or Razbam's?

As the link i posted said, it's ED's to find a solution in sorta way at least they are the one of the case, as a single aircraft cannot share a refueling point for both system on the same model at the same spot.

I'll simply copy/paste what's writen in what i'Ve linked above in case people doesn't wanna click and still ask.

From the Razbam's facebook page:

" There seems to be an internal DCS problem with the KC135BDA. Apparently DCS cannot reliable determine the basket position for a tanker using both boom and basket in the same refueling point, which is what the KC135BDA uses. ED is looking at the problem and will create custom functions for handling such setup."

I’d just be happy with putting MPRS pods on a 135. While working the Iron Maiden would be fun, I’d just like to have some big gas in the air until they can get the BDA working.

Same here. If it works on Il-78 and KC-130, it ought to work on 135.

What would be the advantage over the C-130?

KC-135 can fly higher & faster and deliver more fuel.

For instance the preferential speed to refuel Mirage 2000 is 300kt CAS. KC-130 can't fly that fast, we are around 230kt.

It would also be better for F-14 and F/A-18. Any probe & drogue fast je pretty much would be better off with a KC-135.

Has RAZBAM acknowledged this KC-135 issue yet?

Yes, but it seems DCS doesn’t like a basket attached to a moving boom.

So it's out of their hands...

What about KC-135 MPRS? Is it still planned?

I don’t know, but it’s incredible that with Hornet out ED didn’t provide us a NATO jet tanker.

S-3 is old ugly model, with low capacity.
