DaveRindner
In 2.1.1 with Deffered Shading and 'normal gamma', I can't see grouind targets for krap. Even large static, like a FARP, which stands out during daytime, is lost when seen from cockpit , and darkened sight glass makes things worse. A challenge for IMC AG work. Aside from ramping gamma (a cheat) , does anyone have tricks?
S-GERAT
Seems that the huds/gunsights glasses are being adjusted.. In previous patches the gunsight was a lot more darker and totally unusable.. now is like the glass of the F-18.. with a bluish tint.. and it obscure the sun, which is great.. Sure that in the future it improves.
Dino Might
Considering the title, are you saying it's hard to use the F5 at night? It's a daytime, fair weather aircraft. Not meant for low vis ops.
Robert31178
Night is not low viz, It's low light. Fog/snow/rain is low viz.

razo+r
so its hard to see when theres not much light? big if true. [you should look into using illumination flares] With low gamma, not even Night vision will help you in DCS.
mvsgas
With low gamma, not even Night vision will help you in DCS. Hence he suggested illumination flares. To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
razo+r
Hence he suggested illumination flares. Did I disagree on that statement somehow? At least they fixed the glitches with illumination bombs now. They work ok.
