Not sure what he means by that, possibly refers to the lua coding at the start of the thread.

There was/is a C130 psd template around, somewhere, but it's not mine.

I’ve got the 130 template (it’s available on ED’s site). What is everyone using to texture the refueling pods?

The skin for the pods is:

KC-130_map_drg.dds

There is a copy of that in the KC-130 textures file, I extracted that and modified it.

Coming soon, a fictional RAF C-130T refueler. The RAF did fit a single line refuel pod to some C-130T's to resupply aircraft flying to the Falkland Islands. The line hung out the back of the rear door somehow, I cant recreate that so I will just paint up a notional KC-130 in RAF colours.

Did these skins ever get listed for download? If not any chance you could do a Dropbox link or something like that? Thanks! Really appreciate your work!

Yes, possible. Post an image of the skin you want and I'll give it a try.

You appreciate it will just be the basic C-130 skin on a C-130 or a KC-130 model, there is no MC-130 model in the game.

I tried that with the raf skin. It appears in the editor but in game I just get the missing texture texture.

If its my skins you are using the textures go in Temp Textures folder, my lua's are set to 'true' and thats how it works for these older models, I have never bothered to change the lua's to make them work any other way.

I have not looked at gabuzomeu's model and dont know how he does it.

My textures are placed in the skin folder , like for recent skins,

and the lua (below) sets these files to false , forcing the use of local one if they exist.

You can see the "notes" file is left on true, as I don't know what it is representing.

The KC-130 should technically be able to use any skin that was made for the C-130 right? Only difference would be the tanks on wings?

Indeed , this is exactly the same skin template.

Hey Eddie I want to thank you for this skin. I'm sure most people aren't familier with the MC-130 and the role it fills. This skin fills that space.
