Default ONLY BELSIMTEK CAN MAKE THIS POSSIBLE FOR CONSUMERS (multiseat & doorgunners)

with the Huey UH-1H DCS Module (maybe the Mi-8MTV2)
and with future multiseat
also with oculus rift, and with the door gunner axis commands implemented in the control settings,
i would like to make a door gunner controller on a pintle and set the pots (or hall effect sensors) to provide slew (traverse) analog commands so i can...

BUILD a door gunner controller!!!! (waiting to be built pending DCS module capabilities)
to complete a build of a pit to include heli controls (collective & cyclic) [already built] , and the door gunner is the missing link..

i just recently tried the samsung gear VR and experienced my first taste of not only close to consumer level virtual reality, BUT ALSO a multiplayer social environment (via oculus social alpha)... to voice chat with other people with an avatar face was beyond amazing...

but take it a few notches up from this social experience, I WANT TO DO IT IN THE HUEY, IN VIRTUAL REALITY WITH A FRIEND OR ONLINE PLAYERS!

Shouldn't be hard to do. Just pots on gun axis.

exactly.

but axis assignment commands for the doorgun is required.
at first these control settings were not available on the UH-1H module..
then it popped up for DCS 1.5 although buggy.

last i heard the command assignments disappeared for DCS World 2.0..

I've used stuff similar to this on CH-47 crew trainers. Would be sick to have a setup like that at home

still hoping for belsimtek to square away door gunner controls for the uh-1h, mi8, and future modules, so upcoming oculus rift users can play in VR!

I never acctually understood the guys who have home cockpits. Why would you waste so much money on that? Better to put that money on actual glider training or private pilot than that.

I'm working on my PPL, and I can see the appeal.

I can actually fly a Cessna or an Citabria - and it's amazing.

I most likely won't ever actually get to fly a SU-25, an A-10C, or a Mirage.

In the latter case, a home simulator pit comes the closest you can get.

The only DCS aircraft that it's reasonably possible for us to actually ever own/fly is the L-39C (and I don't have spare $400K to buy, and $400/hour to run).
