xvii-Dietrich
This is a step-by-step guide on how to set up a mission and use the 3D-model version of the NS-430 GPS unit in the L-39C Albatros. Note that this is the 3D-in-cockpit model of the NS-430, not the "overlay version". There is nothing new here. However, the reason I created this guide is that it took me a while to find out how to set it up. There is no mention on how to do this in either the official DCS NS430 manual, nor the official DCS L-39 manual. Nor is it mentioned in the L-39 community guides. There are not any YouTube tutorials that I could find either. What is worse, is that there are a few "gotchas" in the setup that can lead to a lot of frustration while trying to figure things out. Yes, the information is on the forums, but it is scattered over several posts, and is confused by a lot of out-of-date information or advanced topics (e.g. Lua code). Hence I figured I would do a complete step-by-step guide. With luck, a forum-search or internet-search might list this thread and it may help someone who is interested in getting this option to work. Using the 3D-model NS-430 in the DCS L-39C Albatros This was tested and working on 06-Apr-2019 with DCS version 2.5.4.29167. From here on, the official DCS NS-430 manual will cover everything you need. Good luck! :joystick: Edited April 6, 2019 by xvii-Dietrich
