If it's coming it's very low priority at the moment. They are focusing on getting the ZA out the door, and getting some missions/campaign for the Albatros first.

Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.

Actually the most obstructive is not the gunsight itself, but guncam and its mounting bracket. Both C and ZA versions were often used for photo shooting and it is only right that it is present in the cockpit.

However I would like to have the guncam optional as well, either set in mission editor, or maybe good enough solution like Mig21 module has (toggle on/off switch or keypress at least, just like show/hide pilot in the cockpit), if possible. Depends what the team finds more realistic / accurate to the real operation.

Ok, thats pretty good news. I hope we get some new missions too, maybe even a campaign.

That's great news indeed! Thanks for the information GeorgeLKMT!

In a recent Q&A from Wags it was said it was not scheduled but they were considering the option (it seemed like a very low priority at the time) - iirc.

After all, DCS is all about combat, so it felt logical they were not focused on a civilian version.

Thanks a million for working on that variant ED  <3

It looks much more comfortable for a visual approach. My neck is already happy!

Thanks for sharing the screenshots!

Being able to remove the gunsight and camera makes flying the plane much easier in general. It helps a ton on approaches, I'm glad they added this feature :D
