Since there is no dedicated thread for aggressor aircraft I decided now would be a nice time to post some. This first post I am covering 4th generation aircraft, the second will be about pictures of the Japanese F-15's (So awesome) and the third post will cover 3rd generation aircraft. 4th Post I will try to get pictures of DACT in action (such as Draken aircraft) + T-38 DACT Squadrons AND AT-38 pictures. Please post any pictures below of aggressor/DACT aircraft that you would like to share!

*Every picture (minus 2 CF-5) are US Aggresors, if you have pictures from other aggressor programs please post them!

For those not aware Wikipedia does a great job of summing it up "An aggressor squadron or adversary squadron (in the US Navy and USMC) is a squadron that is trained to act as an opposing force in military wargames. Aggressor squadrons use enemy tactics, techniques, and procedures to give a realistic simulation of air combat (as opposed to training against one's own forces). Since it is impractical to use actual enemy aircraft and equipment, surrogate aircraft are used to emulate potential adversaries."

DACT Aircraft mostly from private contractors (an example is Draken International) + T-38 DACT Squadron & AT-38 Pictures

*AT-38's are not used in DACT role, just interesting to see them in the paint scheme

For a brief period, the Brazilian Air Force had an 'aggressor' group based in Natal, flying the AT-26. The project didn't last long, but it was one of many roles this warrior played in Brazilian service.

In Russia, the bad guys are played by the experts at Lipetsk. The Chinese air force is one of the frequent customers of their training services.

Back in the day though, the Soviet Union got their hands on some foreign toys, and used it to refine their air combat tactics for them and their allies.

Here is a South Vietnamese F-5E in Soviet colours:

Zhukovsky's test center also hosted a Mirage and a Phantom:

Yep nice thread - I especially like the F-16c photo with alaskan splinter camo ! I didn't know it exists and that falls right at time!

I still have a f-16c model to do with rest of two-bob decals for arctic aggressor (1 already made)... and that splinter camo match the decals I have (except 4 very little red stars on wings...easy to do).

So I'll do this one!

527th Aggressor Squadron Aircraft in Sardina, Italy 1986
This was a really important moment for the AMI. Before 1986 DACT was not allowed in the Italian Air Force, so these pics are likely from the very first DACT exercises at Decimomannu. I've read some really cool stories about that period, including a time when 3 F104s managed to win mock dogfights against Sea Harriers flown by pilots who had served in the Falklands (on a very outdated Italian website unfortunately: http://web.tiscali.it/F104-Starfighter/harvs104.htm).

Also, girlfriend's comment when she saw me browsing this thread: "STOP LOOKING AT PORN!" :D :D :D
