[LATER IN EARLY ACCESS] Transmit tone when dropping bomb

I'm reading "Hornets Over Kuwait" by Jay Stout and he mentions the ability to have the Hornet automatically transmit a tone over the selected radio when a bomb is dropped. (Location 2823 in the Kindle Unlimited edition.) Has anyone else heard about this capability and are there any plans to implement it?

In the book they used it to help them keep an eye on their wingman while they dropped bombs on Iraqi emplacements.

I’m curious how this is going to work since DCS doesn’t have its own comm system. Maybe they’ll just let SRS know it needs to beep. :)

Huh?

DCS does have its own comm system. You can open the comm menu by pressing the respective radio/mic button and select a message there. You can send radio messages to AI as well as to other players (provided they are listening in on the correct frequency).

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
