JanRalle
something that would be also great is if the Narrator is "searching" for the right word like he try to explanation the words he cant translate. If you work together with not native speaking people in technically jobs i'm sure you know what i mean. Birko
When the Russians trained Chinese pilots to fly the MiG-15 in the Korean War, it took almost twice as long as it took to train their native Russian pilots, even with translators. I'd assume it was a similar situation with the MiG-19's.
Paradox
New tutorial much better. Keep up the much more moderate, realistic accent. And no artificially hunting for difficult words please, this is a training mission not a cartoon

gulredrel
Thanks for the startup video. The introduction made my day. One question that came to my mind and someone a couple of posts above mentions it too: Testing engine power and AB without wheel chocks on the ramp? Thanks and I'm looking forward to the upcoming videos.
baltic_dragon
Hey, the wheel chicks are not modelled in DCS and the brakes can hold her in place during AB checks if you do one at a time...

spiddx
Hey, the wheel chicks are not modelled in DCS Wheel chocks are actually in the game, F-5 and F-18 have them for example. They are probably not enabled in this module though I guess. Кош
Hat's off for the gunsight cage on the ground!!! Chocks - DCS L-39 has them, modern L-39 flight school checklists state checking if manometers move when pressing and releasing the brake lever, and having wheel chocks(and chicks at the tantsi at the dom kultury in the evening) in place before moving the throttles from idle without the intent to move out. Thats why I asked. Edited January 20, 2019 by Кош ППС АВТ 100 60 36 Ф < | > ! gulredrel
I watched the takeoff tutorial a second time. Please can anybody explain what the thick and the thin needle on the airspeed indicator are showing!? In the MiG-15 the thick needle is IAS and the thin needle TAS. Near the ground, both read nearly the same and with increasing altitude, IAS needle lacks behind, cause of the thinner air the plane is travelling. In the MiG-19 video, there's also thin and thick needle, but the thin is not moving, only after thick needle reaches 500.

gulredrel
Thick needle is IAS. Thin needle is TAS - just like in MiG-15. Okay, thanks. So I assume the thin needle only shows reliable values above a certain airspeed/altitude? I'm looking forward to read the manual and hope, this points out such details. Griphos
I'm appreciating these training videos. On the latest one (Landing) the written text says perform an overhead "brake" when it should be overhead "break."
sze5003
If I see a Baltic dragon logo in a module or campaign I'm buying it day one lol. Very nice work on these training missions. I like the Russian accent too of the instructor. I'll be getting this module next week while we still wait for a firmer release to the tomcat.
