Trigger detents

We all know this:

Trigger first detent is for shooting the TGP laser, second detent is for shooting the gun. In the Hornet, having mapped the second detent is enough to also trigger the laser, albeit it's a toggle and not a push and hold over there. I definately prefer the Viper's push and hold BTW, and I always expected the Hornet to behave like that as well especially since Wags said we had to keep the trigger pressed until impact in his academic series, but that's another story.

In the Viper however, the second detent mapping won't trigger the laser at all, which means we have to bind the first detent as well. Most people using a TMWH or other stick with a two-stage trigger won't ever notice this, but on my FFB2 the buttons are rather limited and that one extra is the one too much. Would be great if the second detent would also trigger the first one as well, as it naturally is with those triggers. You can't press stage 2 without also triggering the first.
