Yeah I just ordered the V3 VIRPIL throttle and waiting possibly on the winwing. I already have their FSSB R3 and can’t see spending 450 euro when I already have the fssb.

This grip isn’t a base though. It’s an electronic joystick with Bluetooth technology that has built in sensors so you could use it as a stand alone device. It has no force sensing module found in FSSB base, but can also be used with it if you wish.

PC: 5800X3D/4090, 11700K/3090, 9900K/2080Ti.

Joystick bases: TMW, VPC WarBRD, MT50CM2, VKB GFII, FSSB R3L

Joystick grips: TM (Warthog, F/A-18C), Realsimulator (F-16SGRH, F-18CGRH), VKB (Kosmosima LH, MCG, MCG Pro), VPC MongoosT50-CM2

Throttles: TMW, Winwing Super Taurus, Logitech Throttle Quadrant, Realsimulator Throttle (soon)

VR: HTC Vive/Pro, Oculus Rift/Quest 2, Valve Index, Varjo Aero, https://forum.dcs.world/topic/300065-varjo-aero-general-guide-for-new-owners/

A LOT more buttons. There's a total of 64 on this grip compared to 23 on the WH grip (if you count the POV).

Out of curiosity, why would you spend that much when you already have the r3? You're paying a lot for a few more buttons than what the TM stick has

I’m a collector, this will be my 7th grip.

36 physical buttons I think, but you can assign extra DX buttons using combination of physical buttons up to 64 total—and since these are counted as DX buttons they can be plugged into DCS settings directly. Pretty convenient if you don’t use external joystick app, and everything is saved on the device so there is no need to run app in background.

You may be correct. That said, I think they're stating that you can use the Z function of a switch as a shift for that switch.

There are people here who would spend much more for military or industrial grade devices that do the same job. That’s why we don’t drive the same kind of cars, and yes they all go from point A to point B.

oh I get. I'm not attacking you. Was just curious. I'm the same way sometimes. I probably have just as many controllers as anyone else. I did the same when I went from the T50 stick to the T50 cm2. Spent another couple hundred for a couple more buttons. Every time I switch planes I'm swapping out different hotas's, rudder pedals, etc. I think we are all just a little insane though

New F-16 grip from Realsimulator

They call it GAS (gear acquisition syndrome), in some camera forums. Now this is an electronic joystick, not quite the same as the Warthog with extra buttons.

I'm loving Realsimulator's products for more than 15 years now, but this is way too much:

Grip 450,00 EUR

Tax 94,50 EUR

Shipping 45,45 EUR (you serious? - it's only from Spain to Germany!)

Total 589,95 EUR

I'd love to, but no thanks!

Waiting for WinWing combo reviews.

Yeah to tell you the truth I think we are getting overcharged on some of these items for shipping. I think it was 70 eur f

Shipping for a VIRPIL warbrd grip and the box weighed MAYBE 2 pounds and was small. If I ordered a throttle wth that it still would have been 70. Makes zero sense

I fail to see how this grip has a significant advantage over the Warthog grip.

Additional buttons (36 physical, 64 virtual), 8 profiles, Bluetooth connection, and analog axes built into the grip itself. Like the FSSB R3 base, this isn't a product for budget-conscious consumers, it's for enthusiasts that have a real need for its features. The biggest selling point is the built-in axes and Bluetooth connection, making it no longer dependent on the base it's mounted on and whether or not it supports the stick. You can mount it on virtually anything as long as it has the proper threading and it will still work as a joystick. This isn't going to matter for people who are only in the market for TM/VKB/Virpil devices, but it's a pretty big deal for home cockpit builders looking for a custom setup that the current commercial devices don't serve.
