fitness88
While flying the MIG-29s I'm not getting any Longitudinal Missile Aiming reticle on the HUD after pressing (6). I only see LGT on the HUD when the R-27ET is selected but no reticle. Does it still function? Thank you. fitness88
It would seem it does work with the centre cross on the HUD. I believe there used to be a small circle in the centre of the HUD.
Frostie
It has always had just a fixed cross. Small circle is Bore mode. "[51☭] FROSTIE" #55 51st PVO "BISONS" Fastest MiG pilot in the world - TCR'10 https://100kiap.org
fitness88
It has always had just a fixed cross. Small circle is Bore mode. I've used bore mode in the past, just thought there was a smaller diameter circle for longitudinal mode. Thanks for the confirmation Frostie. Additionally: From page 53: Longitudinal Aiming Close Combat Mode In this mode the missile’s own seeker, which has a 2-degree conical field of view looking forward along the missile axis, is used to lock the target. It’s necessary to maneuver the fighter to place the aiming cross-hair over the target. Edited December 20, 2014 by fitness88
Robin_Hood
Small circle sounds more like the US equivalent (Sidewinder seeker is indeed a small circle that will stick to locked targets). 2nd French Fighter Squadron
