Default New VR zoom heads up

I just noticed that there are now 2 levels of VR zoom. Not sure if its new with todays update or if I just never noticed it before. New level of zoom is "high" not sure exactly, about double the previous one.
New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1)
Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

maybe they had to add this due to the terrible font and font spacing in the F-16 release.... couple that with the dim display, I find it hard to read without zooming in . (And I'm in a Reverb!!!)
