Old Gamer XP Windows. First Post

Recommended Posts

This is my first Post, I'm not a great computer expert but thought I would ask one of you more experience gamers

I have quite an old computer XP (XP professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3)

My Computer

AMD Athlon II X4 630

Processor

2.81GHz 3.25 GB of RAM.

I am playing the 2003 Lock On Air Combat Simulator. 1.0.0.1

For some reason when playing the game with the F15 on Campaign, 3. Intercept Strike Aircraft - (Night Time) it's freezes, I cannot exit the game and have to switch off my computer by holding down the power button

Any suggestions, changes, patches that are needed?

Thanks for reading my post.

Ok thanks for your reply,

it's a stand alone computer anyway, I've seen the DCS world and looks fantastic, I best get a new computer and some new equipment and join as a complete novice...love the A10 seen the videos but love the flight sim stuff

Thanks for the specs by the way, that will help me, or rather the people who build my next computer...in a long time!

Again Thank you.

Jeezuz, that computer was built at the height of the cold war! It's a miracle that system is still operational. :megalol:

But seriously, I doubt you'll find many people here who fly such an old version of Lock On, and that makes it very difficult to help you.

But if you take the plunge into DCS World... as you can see in the many videos on YouTube and elsewhere, it looks fantastic nowadays, and if you can somehow get an up to date computer, I believe you won't regret it.
