mvsgas
Cool video, lot of little things we do not get to see normally. They always cut part of the aircraft start sequence/launch, I guess is not that interesting to most people. Thank Pilotaso. Edited February 7, 2010 by mvsgas To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true.. topol-m
Any particular reason they still use the F-4? One big part of the japanese F-4s have been modernized to the Kai standard (F-4EJ Kai Phantom II) with much improved avionics including a new radar (AN/APG-66J pulse-Doppler radar) and able to use Mitsubishi ASM-1 antiship missiles. These upgrades allow to prolong their service in JASDF. Some of the F-4s have been equipped with different systems and are used mainly as reconnaissance aircraft. Of course a retirement in the near future is inevitable, but it seems they are still useful :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mvsgas
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but there are several countries that still use the F-4 Israel, Greece, Iran, South Korea, Japan, and US as a Full Scale Target Drone (FSTD) So the Japanese are not the only one still using the F-4, IIRC To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.
