IronJockel
Will this "computer wind tunnel gizmos" be considered to be used for the other birds as well? From what i understood, the team tried to gather information about the P-47 the conventional way for a pretty long to, before changing to this method, what leads me to believe that this is expensive. Vitormouraa
Questions from the Community for Nick Grey - Answers! Acquiring documentation via standard method is also pretty expensive and takes a lot of time. With the software, they can do all sorts of things. JokerMan
Thank to Nineline and Mr. Grey for bringing this to the community. There is so much hope and good will in the DCS community overall and these interactions help furnish this for the future. Hopefully there will be future opportunities to repeat this. S! Avimimus
My only hope for FC4 is that it adds capable Russian/Redfor aircraft. If full fidelity is impossible for modern russian aircraft as has been hinted at plenty of times, then FC4 might be the only chance they have to make some russian planes. My hope too (although I wouldn't mind a Su-22, Su-24, or Mig-27)

I believe it is expensive, and not ideal, but I dont understand the method 100%, I hope Yo-Yo will do a write up on it, or maybe a Q&A on it at some point. asla36
My hope too (although I wouldn't mind a Su-22, Su-24, or Mig-27) Yup, those with the MiG-23 are probably the newest Russian aircraft we can expect to be made in a long time. Goa
I am against the mainstream and I would positively acept a new FC4 with some new planes but only if we're going to have a new 4th gen russinan fighter or bomber or whatever russian or NATO like tornado and stuff. The most important thing would be to have at least PFM on new FC4 planes. After reading this would it be a fair assumption that we will eventually see the De Haviland Mosquito in DCS world as a full module at some point? ED Team BIGNEWY Posted May 2, 2018 ED Team Share Posted May 2, 2018 Nineline. After reading this would it be a fair assumption that we will eventually see the De Haviland Mosquito in DCS world as a full module at some point? Quote from the first reply :) A. Yes, we are considering the Mosquito very actively and have gathered a very substantial amount of data. Dima (Yo-Yo) will travel to UK in July prior to Flying Legends and finish all his research and then we can get cracking. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Charly_Owl
I got a question... when is a Lancaster com... Just kidding. Let me try that again. Q: How reliable are engine starts for old warbirds still flying after more than 70 years? We often see a number of attempted starts at airshows and it seems that getting a reliable start can be sometimes problematic for old machinery. Could Mr. Grey share some of his experiences regarding the reliability and maintenance side of these birds? These aspects can sometimes be neglected in the world of simulators... so I'd be quite interested to see what he has to say about that. Brett Sinclair
Q. Will we see survey modules again like FC3 for the casual simmer and especially 'The Century Series' Surely classic air frames are a market seller ;-) – Mizzy A. FC4 with four more aircraft Flying Legends pack with 8 -12 aircraft …. ? Century fighters are a big deal and a period I absolutely love, but not priority no.1 at the moment. Just to clarify: There will be a FC4!? And it will have four additional aircraft? Best, Brett
falcon_120
That is interesting news! I wish we could have there an f15e and Su30. Even with simplified systems would be a ton of fun for the kind of precision strike missions they could undertake. Also an F16C would be awesome! Lithion
If there is really FC4, how we deal with the FC3? Pay some extra charge to update it? My interpretation is that it will be a new standalone package with some new simple cockpit planes. If that's the case I would imagine everyone would just have to get a new copy. They already have the bonus system in place to support loyal customers, no need for more discounts IMO. But it's all just speculative at this point, and FC4 is longs ways away. SDsc0rch
just want to state this so "maybe" someone official at ED sees this..... i don't come to DCS for "FC3" i come to DCS for no-holds-barred, full throated, unadulterated, FULL FIDELITY, realistic flight simulation "FC4" is the WRONG. DIRECTION. my fear is.. you model an AWESOME jet in the FC4 world - and y'all clap your hands and say "great! check in the box! move on to the next one!" and we'll never see THAT aircraft as a FULL FIDELITY/Advanced Systems Modeling A10/F18-level sim i cannot tell you how pissed i'll be if i see an F-16 come out as an FC4 jet maybe i'm all alone out here and everyone is secretly pining away for the old days of simple flight sims and flying on rails and "this is the best we can do right now" but i think maybe not just want to put that out there..... i7-4790K | Asus Sabertooth Z97 MkI | 16Gb DDR3 | EVGA GTX 980 | TM Warthog | MFG Crosswind | Panasonic TC-58AX800U [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
