AIRMEN JAILED IN FROG-TOSSING CASE

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Now there's some Grade A idiocy if I ever saw it.

Sure, a frog most likely won't damage the engine, but for fornications sake, it's a prime rule of working with aircraft: NEVER leave, toss, lob or throw anything in the intake.

Clustermunitions is just another way of saying that you don't like someone.

I used to like people, then people ruined that for me.

I was TDY to the Kun with the 9 AMU/49FW around the time this happened. We could not believe it. Then they posted the video, I never got to see it since it was taken down very quickly.

I can't even begin to imagine the utter hellfire that someone would catch for this. Sure, busting someone to E1 and getting a discharge is pretty bad (yet deserved), but I'd love to be a fly on the wall during the chewing out that would have been delivered to the the muppets that did it.

MVSGAS, at 1min15, what are the dots and line on the canopy ?

Explosives to weaken it during ejection ? I thought the F-16 jettisoned the whole canopy.

TIA

AFAIK, to help that specific versions of the Helmet Mounted Display (HMD) know its positions. If you look at the top of the helmet at around 0:56 seconds, you can see the sensor.

Marshal them in

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Juan Humenez, a unit tactical aircraft maintainer, marshals an F-16 Fighting Falcon at Misawa Air Base, Japan, March 30, 2020. Tactical aircraft maintenance specialists ensure every component of the aircraft is maintained to the standards. They ensure the aircraft are ready to fly at a moment’s notice so pilots can safely and effectively complete their mission. Even amidst current policy restrictions due to COVID-19, the 35th Fighter Wing’s mission of projecting combat air power and defending the U.S. and Japan is still moving forward.
