pauldy
Old version of DCS... I can't upgrade to 2.5 because no funds for a super computer Nevertheless I'm hoping someone could help me or if people experienced this back in the 1.5 days.. ==== This just started today.. for some reason DCS 1.5.6 keeps crashing shortly after loading a given mission. Strange pixels/squares start to appear first... then followed by the crash... First time it happened, I remember reading some kind of Kernel Error something message in Windows menu... For some reason that message no longer appears.. but then still a constant Crash. Thanks. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted April 18, 2018 ED Team Share Posted April 18, 2018 As you know older versions are unsupported, however it looks like a display driver crash. try cleaning your display driver with DDU and installing a fresh driver 00319.781 INFO EDCORE: # -------------- 20180418-123317 -------------- 00319.825 INFO EDCORE: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\nvwgf2umx.dll 00319.863 INFO EDCORE: # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 9DAC43D7 00:00000000 00319.905 INFO EDCORE: 00000000 00000000 0000:00000000 00319.955 INFO EDCORE: 9DAC43D7 18DDF9F0 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\nvwgf2umx.dll NVAPI_Thunk()+1EB517 00319.989 INFO EDCORE: 9D78C426 18DDFA30 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\nvwgf2umx.dll OpenAdapter10()+12576 00320.022 INFO EDCORE: 9D81DBE4 18DDFA60 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\nvwgf2umx.dll OpenAdapter10()+A3D34 00320.055 INFO EDCORE: 9D819C4D 18DDFA90 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\nvwgf2umx.dll OpenAdapter10()+9FD9D 00320.056 INFO EDCORE: 9D945DCA 18DDFAC0 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\nvwgf2umx.dll NVAPI_Thunk()+6CF0A 00320.057 INFO EDCORE: 9E1502C7 18DDFAF0 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\nvwgf2umx.dll NVAPI_Thunk()+877407 00320.058 INFO EDCORE: 9E15046E 18DDFB20 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\nvwgf2umx.dll NVAPI_Thunk()+8775AE 00320.061 INFO EDCORE: A38D13D2 18DDFB50 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\system32\KERNEL32.DLL BaseThreadInitThunk()+22 00320.061 INFO EDCORE: A3C15444 18DDFBA0 0000:00000000 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll RtlUserThreadStart()+34 00320.874 INFO EDCORE: Minidump created. 00320.877 INFO DCS: try to write track file Forum rules - DCS Crashing? pauldy
I see, I'm not familiar with Display Drivers stuff as I'm afraid messing up very important files.. Is there a version of that DDU thing for the GTX760? Edited April 18, 2018 by pauldy [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

pauldy
-Bignewy: Thanks for the assist anyways.. I just had my PC checked by a technician today... turns out my GTX760 is already busted.. Anyways im going to get my rig back. I'll just backup all of my files including the DCS Stuff i have.. Since my MOBO is an old H61ME the current graphic card lines on the market wont be compatible.. or so the technician says.. I might as well get a rig ready for DCS 2.5 What are the ideal specs or stuff again..? ..and do video cards only last for 4 years or so? I got my 760 back in 2014.. I always thought gaming hardware are rugged and have longer service lives than ordinary cards.. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

pauldy
I kinda asked some Shops here selling computer parts.. So with that kind of setup.. 2500 US dollars is the estimated cost? 130,000+ pesos in our country.. i find it... ridiculous. I might as well forget DCS all together and find a new hobby..
