Cold War 1947 - 1991

Operation: When The Mountains Cry

* Mission lasts for 12 hours, and was added to the server's missions' rotation (see first post above).

Situation:

RED airbases: Kutaisi, Senaki, Kobuleti and Batumi.
BLUE airbases: Tbilisi, Vaziani and Soganlug.

At the southern and mountainous side of the Caucasus each coalition has seized 4 lakes, and established a water station at every lake. The ninth lake however is uncaptured by any.
These lakes provide a vital source for clean waters that both coalitions are seeking to hold. While keeping your water stations safe, try to destroy the enemy's and deploy troops to prevent any repair attempts.
With the raids at the lakes, the mountains cry. War has it.

NOTE:
All lakes are marked on the F-10 map.

RED Objectives:

MiG-21's/MiG-15's:
Bullseye is Waypoint-1 and is our lake with the main water station. Provide CAP and keep all 4 water stations safe.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Su-25's/Ka-50's:
- Waypoint-1 is the enemy's main water station.
- Waypoint-2 is the enemy's second water station.
- Waypoint-3 is the enemy's third water station.
- Waypoint-4 is the enemy's fourth and last water station.
- Waypoint-5 is the lake, where no coalition has established anything yet.
DESTROY all enemy units and buildings at each Waypoint (except for Waypoint 5).

- Waypoint-6 (for Ka-50 only) is our only FARP (Podkova). The one you take off from.

NOTE:
Only APC's and infantries defend the lakes. No SAM's.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mi-8's:
- Waypoint-1 is the enemy's main water station.
- Waypoint-2 is the enemy's second water station.
- Waypoint-3 is the enemy's third water station.
- Waypoint-4 is the enemy's fourth and last water station.
- Waypoint-5 is the lake, where no coalition has established anything yet.
- Waypoint-6 is our only FARP (Podkova). The one you take off from.

- You can deploy Shilka's anywhere you want to help defend our lakes.
- Take troops and drop them at the enemy's lakes once his units and buildings have been destroyed by our strikers to prevent any possible repair attempts. At each lake, there is a single helipad. Deploy the troops on it or right next to it.

NOTE:
Only APC's and infantries defend the lakes. No SAM's.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
L-39's:
- Bullseye is Waypoint-1 and is our lake with the main water station. Provide CAP and keep all 4 water stations safe.
- Feel free to provide CAS at the enemy's lakes.

NOTE:
Only APC's and infantries defend the lakes. No SAM's.

==================================================

BLUE Objectives:

F-5's/F-86's:
Bullseye is Waypoint-1 and is our lake with the main water station. Provide CAP and keep all 4 water stations safe.

- Waypoint-4 is the enemy's fourth and last water station.
- Waypoint-5 is the lake, where no coalition has established anything yet.
DESTROY all enemy units and buildings at each Waypoint (except for Waypoint 5).

- Waypoint-6 (for SA342's only) is our only FARP (Dallas). The one you take off from.

NOTE:
Only APC's and infantries defend the lakes. No SAM's.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UH-1's:
- Waypoint-1 is the enemy's main water station.
- Waypoint-2 is the enemy's second water station.
- Waypoint-3 is the enemy's third water station.
- Waypoint-4 is the enemy's fourth and last water station.
- Waypoint-5 is the lake, where no coalition has established anything yet.
- Waypoint-6 is our only FARP (Dallas). The one you take off from.

- You can deploy Vulcan's anywhere you want to help defend our lakes.
- Take troops and drop them at the enemy's lakes, once his units and buildings have been destroyed by our strikers to prevent any possible repair attempts. At each lake, there is a single helipad. Deploy the troops on it or right next to it.

Cold War 1947 - 1991

* The dynamic mission is currently OFFLINE due to some bugs in the scripting.

Server Status: ONLINE running on Open Beta.
(If you don't see the server on the servers' list just connect by using the IP number)

Server Name: Cold War 1947 - 1991

Operation: Act Three

Server IP: 158.69.122.193
SimpleRadio IP: 158.69.122.193
TeamSpeak IP: 158.69.122.193

Trailer:

The Cold War was meant to finish what the two wars had begun. Escalation between the Americans and the Russians was only a matter of time. In 1947 the political disagreements between the two sides led into the first skirmishes in eastern Asia followed by various clashes in Europe. The battles to follow over the next decades until the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 had marked the wartime of that era. Act Three came to an end.

* The scenario of this mission is fictional and based on my imagination regarding what could've had happened.

Here is a link listing all types of aircraft of that era:

https://www.militaryfactory.com/airc...r-aircraft.asp

In this dynamic campaign the focus will be mainly on the MiG-21 and the F-5 and other modules that I see suitable for the scenario I have. That being said jet planes like the Su-27, Su-33, F-15, MiG-29, M-2000, F-18 and F-14 will be excluded to simply give third generation fighters/interceptors or planes of an inferior generation the chance of dogfighting rather than having BVR aerial battles most of the time. However, the F-4 being an icon of the Cold War will surely be added once available. Until the F-4 gets released, the Harrier will take its place.

Mission:
The server rotates every 6 hours. All data will be saved. The only goal is to capture all airbases and all FARP's.
Each airbase has one SAM battery, IR SAM's, AAA's, tanks and APC's. FARP's are defended by IR SAM's, AAA's, tanks and APC's, no SAM batteries.
Mi-8's and UH-1's can deploy various types of vehicles and troops.
Anit-ship missions will be added. Currently unavailable.

Server Rules:

1) Teamkills whether against players or AI might result in immediate banning! Make sure you're attacking the right plane/airbase/etc.
2) No taxiway takeoffs! The only exception is if your airbase is under attack and you need to scramble.
3) We all lose our tempers. Just keep it cool.

Available Red Aircraft:

MiG-21bis, MiG-15bis, Su-25T, Su-25, L-39ZA, Ka-50, Mi-8MTV2

Availabe Blue Aircraft:

F-5E Tiger II, F-86F, AJS-37, AV-8B, A-10A, Hawk, P-51D, all SA342 versions, UH-1H

Airbases & FARP's:

Each coalition starts with 7 airbases and 5 FARP's. All airbases and FARP's can be captured and recaptured.

Red Airbases (at mission start):

Sochi-Adler, Gudauta, Sukhumi-Babushara, Mineralnye Vody, Nalchik, Mozdok, Beslan

Red FARP's (at mission start):

Vetka-Dallas (GJ22 - 43°33'30'' N, 41°48'20'' E) 124.5 MHz / 254.5 MHz

Shpora-Moscow (GH17 - 43° 5'10'' N, 41°39'32'' E) 128.5 MHz / 258.5 MHz

Yunga-Paris (LN16 - 43° 3'16'' N, 42°45' 4'' E) 126.5 MHz / 256.5 MHz

Otkrytka-London (MN34 - 42°53'43'' N, 44°10'16'' E) 122.5 MHz / 252.5 MHz

Kalitka-Berlin (MP41 - 43°28' 4'' N, 44°16'13'' E) 130.5 MHz / 260.5 MHz

Blue Airbases (at mission start):

Senaki-Kolkhi, Kutaisi, Kobuleti, Batumi, Tbilisi-Lochini, Vaziani, Soganlug

Blue FARP's (at mission start):

Rome-Torba (MN50 - 42°29'31'' N, 44°27'44'' E) 251.5 MHz / 121.5 MHz

Dublin-Skala (MM35 - 42° 3' 9'' N, 44°14'13'' E) 257.5 MHz / 127.5 MHz

Warsaw-Podkova (MM07 - 42°15'49'' N, 43°47'37'' E) 255.5 MHz / 125.5 MHz

Madrid-Kaemka (LN12 - 42°37'51'' N, 42°45' 8'' E) 253.5 MHz / 123.5 MHz

Perth-Kapel (KN53 - 42°41'53'' N, 42° 2'48'' E) 259.5 MHz / 129.5 MHz

How to capture/recapture airbases/FARP's (using CTLD by Ciribob):

1) Destroy all enemy ground units at a particular airbase/FARP.
2) Take whatever type of troops in your Mi-8/UH-1 and deploy them within 1000 m from that airbase/FARP.
3) Wait 60 seconds after troops' insertion and make sure they stay alive that long and the airbase/FARP is yours!

AWACS/GCI:

Each coalition has one AWACS plane that is hidden on the map, far away from battle and can't be killed. So don't trouble yourself.

Red AWACS and Red GCI operate on 124 MHz. (Channel 0 for MiG-21bis and L-39ZA)
Blue AWACS and Blue GCI operate on 251 MHz.

Looks interesting. Is it worth adding the Harrier as a blue aircraft?

As much as I'd love to do that for all the Harrier pilots out there but unfortunately the version of the Harrier we have is of the late 90's.

Great news! I like silhouette iff environments the most + dynamic. And we are expecting two more cold war era airframes hopefully soon, one for each side, Mig19 and A7. Slowly getting there.
