Teeter
Hey guys, Considering getting rid of this rig and purchasing something more mobile to use for DCS development. Does anybody have any experience with the Surface Book (if possible, specifically the i5/dGPU or i7/dGPU models). Thanks. /Gregory Smiddy Programming Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
OldE24
What ever you end up buying it should have a dedicated card running 2GB MIN GDDR5 to run DCS, It would depend on the budget and how heavy of a laptop you want and the $$ to spend, the surface says 1gb GDDR5 not sure that would go very well. MSI and ASUS make gaming laptops that would be alittle bigger but around the same price that might work. i think Nvidia's 10 series Mobile is going to be released at some point in the near future also. joey45
What are you gonna be using it for? The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. fyaruny
Even the surface pro 4 with i7 wont be able to run dcs very well because of the gpu like oldE said Also, why would you want to play a flight sim like DCS in a 12 inch screen? Really bad experience belive me Edited July 27, 2016 by fyaruny
