I voted littlebird, but more specifically OH-6 Loach. Would go great with the Huey for some vietnam type scout pilot action. That and an early Ah-1 woud round off the era quite well.

I think in general Vietnam is a good era for DCS. modern enough to be cool, but old enough to be more or less declassified. Just my 2 cents though.

I know OP is new to the forum, but I don't think we seriously need another wishlist thread, and especially one that's outside of the wishlist sub forum.

Mods, can you move please?

AH-64D Longbow Apache of course. I'd like most on your list though.

Lynx AH.7 would be my choice. But i'm not too fussy, any new choppers would be appreciated.

I apologize for the confusion, I however wish to clarify that this is not a wish list but a poll, and in the Belsimtek area because it's a poll about Belsimtek.

Seeing as the AH-1W entered Service in the mid 80s and the AH-1Z entered full service in 2010 (with first flights in 2000) there is plenty difference between them =P.

Especially on the Systems side.

And they have many other differences as well.

One obvious difference would be the AH-1W has 2 Rotor Blades on its Main and Tail Rotors.

The AH-1Z has 4.

And the cockpits are very different much different.
(with the AH-1Z having several large MFDs while the AH-1W is more basic in its cockpit displays)

Today many AH-1Ws are being converted to AH-1Z standard.

But the difference between the Standard AH-1W and the AH-1Z is pretty significant.

(like Comparing a F-16A with a F-16C Block 50+)

They might look the same on the outside but their systems and capabilities are plenty different.

Hang on, let me go look down in the hangar. Yep there's some differences.

But they're just not that major (to me anyhow). And most of the systems on the Z are off the shelf installs.

You are correct!

(edited to add, the funny thing is too, the capabilities are less on a Z then on a W in the weapons area, however the Z has way better target designation and the glass cockpit is pretty sweet.)

They might be very major when it comes to how classified they are etc.
(so how likely it is they would be given a license for making it)

And how complicated the systems would be to fully simulate etc
(if they could get all the information)

While the AH-1W is a older system that has been in server longer and widely exported (and is nearing its final leg in its current variant and as such being Upgraded or Retired soon)

So modeling a AH-1W would likely be easier.

But also from what i have understood isnt the AH-1W the Cobra variant Belsimtek has already hinted that they are working on?

1. Both have relatively simple systems, you'd be very surprised!
2. I don't know about that I don't make games! I wish I could though!
3. I don't know if they announced it or not, but either the W or Z are good to go in my book.

I voted AH-6 / OH-6, but I am not sure if belsimtek got the balls to cope with such a machine.... then again, if they get the model right they generally do not listen to the gripes of the masses without evidence.

So yup.... AH-6 please. could be sweet.

After the Hind and AH-1W, I think the MH-53 Pave Low would not be bad at all!

I think the advance attack choppers are somewhat a future release.
