Might be in another thread but I haven't found anything concrete yet, but how is multi core support in 2.5? Is is still bound to one core or has the engine been upgraded to use the full cpu now, and does this mean the graphics card is being pushed more?

Only things I see are related to YT playback... but only the odd stutter, and never in the same spot.

Yes it might be a YT. Fingers crossed for ED bringing this beauty to us before Christmas

I don't often find games that are older than myself. Those graphics are terrible today, but must have been state of the art (or something close) in it's day.

Hey mate, that was not meant as an offense, that was meant as a great bow to the enormous amount of work, that we can (barelly) imagine when we see that now/then comparison :worthy:

Oh no, I wasn't offended of anything. It's just that I don't find many games outside of video game arcades that have some extra years on me. I think it's really cool, and goes to show how much technology has progressed. Floppy disks to CDs, CDs to downloads. Film to VCR, VCR to DVDs, DVDs to Netflix!

But that's all. DCS has come a very long way! I look forwards to the coming years.

FWIW, I see the same jitter/stutter that everyone but Sith is seeing. It's slight, but I absolutely see it...and I'm used to seeing it from flying VR in the current releases.

Aside from that, it looks absolutely astounding. I can't wait for 2.5 and once we had the Hornet to the mix... wow

Hope those shadows get fixed, they look really bad. There seems to be a trend of super-detailed shadows where every twig is defined.

Looks great in screenshots but the moment it starts moving everything shimmers horribly and no amount of AA/AF will help.

Ditto. Ive seen it in 1.5 and 2.0, when Ive been single screening, and I solve it by putting Vsync on (no isnt tearing). Was the same when I was on triple screen. Fps could be well above 60, but especially in the sidescreens, this unsmooth feel was quite noticeable. Vsync solved that too in that case.

Is a peripheral thing, have to look at the edge of the screen / video, or just look out the side of the plane really.

- Jack of many DCS modules, master of none.

- Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS.

@Wags Id like to see 40+ units in 2.5 caucasus on a next possible vid be it air to air or destroying ground targets, Im very interested in performance, Is this something you could do and show case or stress test?

Not a wishlist at all general question on performance with all them trees and new textures why would you not ask? I for one am interested other than 1 single unit. Im not bitching in about how bad it looks it looks good real good, However id like to see a few more units in a new video with new explosions etc is that a bad thing?

Edit: Im running 2.2 at 20 frames tops with units that concerns me. With the new autoconfig tone mapper now im back up to 40 frames and im good again.

I'm curious about this also, but it will vary from rig to rig. They could release it now and we can do our own test. ;)
