rrohde
I think they're trying to emulate the laminated layers of "Panzerglas"; thicker layers of glass typically look like that in the real world as well... Art-J
Me too. It's a step in the right direction. At least it looks as some armoured glass is there, unlike in Mustang, which still has invisble windscreen and propeller :D. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10. Kurfürst
I looks correct - compare to the real thing, although its some really old Panzerglass in there. http://www.kurfurst.org - The Messerschmitt Bf 109 Performance Resource Site Vezérünk a bátorság, Kísérőnk a szerencse! -Motto of the RHAF 101st 'Puma' Home Air Defense Fighter Regiment The Answer to the Ultimate Question of the K-4, the Universe, and Everything: Powerloading 550 HP / ton, 1593 having been made up to 31th March 1945, 314 K-4s were being operated in frontline service on 31 January 1945. Vitormouraa
Why would you ever play DCS without deferred shading? ;) It looks really good with deferred shading on. SplashOneGaming Discord https://splashonegaming.com
imacken
Why would you ever play DCS without deferred shading? ;) It looks really good with deferred shading on. I don’t use deferred shading as it can make cockpits look totally washed out! Art-J
^ True, and it get's worse with in-game MSAA on for some mysterious reason. However, MSAA off plus gamma slider adjustment deals with it relatively nicely. Cranking it down to 1.5-ish and below gets you almost to 1.5.7 cockpit lighting levels. But we're getting a bit off-topic here. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
imacken
We are getting a bit OT, but I just want to add that deferred shading adds blur to HUD text. In the Hog, HUD text is perfect without deferred shading, but with it..... hard to read with all the extra blur. Esac_mirmidon
Try lowering the HUD brightness selector below the HUD. " You must think in russian.." imacken
Yep, that helps, but it’s symptomatic of the whole deferred shading thing, i.e. overblown, washed out colours. It really needs fixing as I’m sure ED know.
